If Cham was "black," why are we to assume that his brothers, Shem and Yepheth weren't? Or his parents, for that matter? Was Cham "black," Shem, "white" and Yepheth "in between?" Can this be proven? Now, Cham had four sons. Kuwsh, Mitsrayim, Puwt and Kena'an. In this case, Kena'an was cursed, not the others. Are we to believe, then, that every "black" person is descended from this one son? The children of Kuwsh, Mitsrayim and Puwt no longer exist? This would have to be the case, would it not?

@PoorKnow To my understanding, Ham was not black, but his son Cush was ("black face") = father of the Ethiopians. The other sons were not black, nor were the Canaanites. The curse is not related to blackness, but to servlitude; brought up/on by Canaan's disrespect. And it did come to pass - not "because" of him, but it was an opportunity to disclose the prophecy. When the Israelites inherited Canaan they were to utterly drive out/kill the inhabitants. They didn't & had to put them to tribute.

For the record, this "curse" became fulfilled when Yisra'el began occupying the land of Kena'an. This "curse" had nothing, at all, to do with the hue of any person, or nation. If anything, most people, during this period were, probably, somewhat dark in appearance, which had nothing to do with climate or location. Consider the Eskimos, who've been inhabiting the most northern regions of North America for quite some time. Shalowm, 'Ach.

The plight of black americans, Shem, is different from that of Canaan. The scions of Shem through Yacov/12 tribes suppose to be serving YHWH, but when we aren't serving Him properly in obedience, we end up serving nations YHWH sends against us; servants of YHWH or servants of who YHWH sends against us...

Something to consider is how did Noah know who did this and what was done to him (blood somewhere)? Perhaps this isn't the first time Canaan has done something like this. Some bibles read 'younger' or 'youngest'. It couldn't have been his technical youngest son, Yepeth, because it wouldn't make sense to prophecy a curse of Canaan. What has been forgotten is a old Yiree tradition of staying with the Grandfather for a time to learn the laws/path to YHWH; they are taught and treated like sons. Abram learned this from his Grand-great-forefather Shem (ref: Book of Jasher/Book of the Upright Record).

Servant of Servants is the main idea of this prophecy of Noah.

In the Hebrew Interlinear Bible the main idea is that Canaan would serve his brethren, most notably Yepeth and Shem. Yepeth would (be deceived/deceptively [ פתה(pathah) Strong's Concord. #06601)] dwell in the tabernacle of Shem.
