This is tiny compared to other revolutions in history, for example the American Revolution where comeplete revolutionary armies defeated the greatest empire on earth. No one wants to be controlled by a tyrant and a dictator, so simply they want democracy.

Think about what's coming next... Let's suppose Syria's people wishes prevail and that they start a trully democratic regime: will Israel give back the Golan Heights? At least those guys on the video don't look like muslims fanatics to me (neither do most people in Egypt or Libya). So, which will be the next excuse to engulf half of the Middle East as a "buffer zone" or a "sacred land"? Will the US still say Israel can do whatever they want cause they've the right to "protect" themselves?

This is not about oil. It's not even about political interests. This is about freedom for people who simply want to live their lives. A regime that brutalizes it's own people in such a way, should never have the right to exist. But hey, who are WE to get involved right? If you care one bit about mankind, you know we must help in some kind of way, and that does not always mean with an invasion force. I hope the people of Syria can live free one day, sooner than later.

The regime in Syria must end, as they slaughter and torture their own citizens. Any government that does this, does not deserve, or have the right to exist. War is necessary sometimes, maybe not now, but if it gets out of control, what can we do? I think it is meant in good will when intervention takes place. I just don't agree with it.

@sukebegaijin1 because NATO need an UN resolution to start bombing an country, but Russia and China both blocked the resolution and are blocking everything thats coming up about it, since they (Russia and China) have the power to veto resolutions in UN they do, and alot hasnt happened because of their vetos.
