I really fell deep with this track, its got its own mood and its epicness. first time i heard it, i was literally blown away by it, Im very far into orchestral music, i look for the emotion triggers, the feeling of it, tempos, melodys, and the fact that you could listen eyes closed and see an image of something so epic that you clench to it for weeks. people underestimate the power of great music, this track here, is a great installment for this movie and its OST

You are right when you say that the story is not original but if you think about it, there are very few stories which are entirely original. Romeo and Juliet, for example, was an adaptation of an old Italian short story and so on. I see your point though.

this is really annoying me: the VERY last scene of the movie (when Jake is being transferred to his avatar permanently) there is some AMAZING music just before and as the credits start. This movies message is that humans are greedy selfish people and they have destroyed this planet just for more money and babies... That is just about the best message a movie can have this day in age in my opinion.

it annoys me how James Cameron claims the idea of that story to be his. It's NOT.
it's a mix of "Pocahontas" and "Romeo and Juliet", the only transferred the story to another planet.
It's a beautiful movie and the story can't be told enough cause it's deeply connected to human nature but please...don't claim it's your idea, DUH!

Yes it could be, its just that our greedy minds find it difficult to live in a complete harmony with the nature. Hell, if it were up to me, Id go back in time and make oil dissapear. That would sure hinder the development progress but at least save the Earth and the humankind on it. I take it that oil is the source of our biggest probs today.

It's not our planet who needs to be saved, it's us -- our planet has its own way to heal itself, but do we survive its changes? That's up to us, but we need its resources to stay alive long enough to figure out how. We're working on the problem, and when the problem comes we, as in our generation is long gone and I really do hope that the generations to come will find a solution. But one day we'll have to leave because of the sun, and by then we need to be ready or die. By the way, great movie.

@LoBrands I do agree with what you say about it showing people for what they are. However, I also believe the storyline is a bit shallow in that it is unoriginal. We've already seen this with Pocahontas and Dances with Wolves. Visually though, the movie was pretty good so that did help compensate for it's predictability. I also like the soundtrack, but it is also unoriginal in that it is really similar to Titanic.
