Great Informed Info Man Thanks, I suffer From Medial & Lateral Epicondylitis. from driving small trucks without power steering & Shovelling , Combined With my exercise Regime Pushups , Chinups Etc. ( Have Stopped Chinups!
Thanks for the great info. But why wouldn't you exercise the concentric motion too, and mae your forearm/elbow stronger through that movment? I developed lateral epicon. from gripping, which would be most isometric. Wouldn't doing exercise in all 3 domains help to strengthen the entire area? Isn't is "bad" to only strengthen one area? Wouldn't that create an imbalance? I found squeezing a ball hlped as well as using a device to work the extensor movment (opening of fingures). Thanks!
deep massage and 20mins ice 'cured' mine fairly quickly but I still get hints that it will come back if I ever play with rackets other than my Pro Kennex Ki5 which is very annoying as its not that great a racket for power.
ok um i had that and got rid of it but i still have a pain on the bottom of my arm so where my elbow is i have like on the south side or whatever mostly where the bone is where u can feel a lot of it is that just muscle strain
i contacted you "of course" wrote yo you asking for your advice but you never replied once. thank you lol. and i have a really severe case of tennis elwbow
I had "mouse elbow" due to exesive laptop+small laptop mouse usage a year ago. I got well only with tennis elbow physical exercises after I realised the reason (I dont play tennis). I completely got well doing wind surf !
i got mine from doing JUDO. but i get it in the first tendon to the right of the elbow joint (i stretch my right arm tendon on the right of the elbow point)...
ive been doing some wrist rolling exercises, im going judo practice tomorrow hopefully it wont hur again...if it happens again what should i do..
or you could just get your supinator checked out for TrP restrictions aswell, also check flexors/ext of forearm. Failing that, it could be an Anconeus TrP or Olecranon bursa. Get some stretching in there with some Isotonic exercises with DB etc etc
i'm not sure if i have tennis elbow. it started wth a pain in the outer wrist that stretched on into the area mentioned in the video(somewhere near the elbow). then a few weeks later after some minor exertions by my elbow, i started to feel a very minor pain in my elbow. is this tennis elbow and does it have anything to do with an injured wrist?
Thank God I decided to attend a short tennis course for beginner before I got too involved in social tennis. The coach was excellent and he always asks us to do some stretchings (one of them is the same as the one showed in this video). I haven't got tennis elbow so far!!!
I would just like to personally thank you G for a great explanation of what causes tennis elbow, after much confusion it has brought much needed clarity.I however suffer from Golfers elbow, im sure your familiar with what this tendonitis is. Scientifically referred to as Medial Epicondylitis. How would you suggest one goes about rehabilitating it. Your advice would be much appreciated, regards shore1984
Tennis elbow is the result of tennis being in a dark age. This age is based on not being enlightened and not recreating tennis as an ambidextrous exercise. Your perscription is based on sports medicine, but not mind / body medicine.
never did i realise that the thing that caused it would be the thing thet would put it straight! rather like rubbing a squashed nettle onto a nettle sting to neutralize it! again, THANKS DUDE!
I can only provide you with the reference. If you are enrolled in a University then you can likely access it through a medical database. Otherwise, you may get lucky and find it online.
