You have to admit, with a decent community, no hackers and no laggers this game would be awesome. For a free game, the graphics are amazing when maxed out, there is a huge variety of weapons and vehicles and maps, and different modes, from Zomies to CQC.
Still, I completely agree with you White, shit community, hackers and horrible gunplay really let it down.

Good review. I remebr Warrock was the first f2p fps i ever played. Back in 2007 when it was in Beta It was a descent Game. However i bacame frustrated with the hackers,the annoying kids, and the fact that all the Really Good weapons were members only. I soon Left and played combat arms but that has since taken a toll in a similar path to warrock. crossfire is more of a counter strike feel but still has lag/hacker issues. I have since then Bought Counter Strike source.

The sadder part is that the 999 ping part is also true. Most people flock to European servers now so everyone has 999 ping. Europeans I'd say make up 60% of WarRock community. They have 999 ping to Americans. The rest of the Americans have 999 ping because they ahve to connect to the European server and back.

There are some points u missed ALL f2p games will go through a stage of hackers it usually goes like early start of game with glitches then a large hacker population and then the cooldown with a few hackers but also few players fue to the hack wave. I've played almost all f2p fps's with the exception of maybe 2 and here's how my rankings go

There is a far bit of skilled involved with the accuracey of the guns and no it isn't just you have to spray your whole clip. If your aim is good without headshot it's only 10bullets you need max close range.
Too many people doubt the value of the gameplay however i feel that the rolling option bring a lot of skill within the game.

WarRock was ruined in the very beginning by an INSANE surge of hackers that attacked as soon as the game was moved from beta to retail release. I remember picking up my copy from Best Buy about three days after release, and already, it was almost impossible to find a match without a hacker. Now imagine that being spanned over the first six months after retail release, and you can hopefully understand why the community is so critical.

i play it im lvl 31 there are alot of these "12 yr" olds as u describe them and there are some decent players but to be honest this game is fked up sometimes and sometimes not, sometimes you find yourself top scored with 20 - 3 and the toher day you playing against the same players and you have 1 - 9 the 12 yr olds hack alot themselves but this game is to loaded with aimbot, chams etc the developers should be dealing with this instead of selling weapons on their site

I know warrock aint that great, but come on. It aint as bad as crossfire. I played both of those games and find cross fire sucks ass! I'd probably give it a 3/4 out of 10. WarRock I would probably give a 6/7 out of 10. Im sorry if I'm being a bit biased. Combat arms is a cool game too.
I enjoy CrossFire, AVA, and to some degree Combat Arms. I tried Warrock and played for about two days. After the novelty of having vehicles in a free shooter wore off, it become obvious how shallow the gameplay was.

Warrock beta was really good! all guns were available to you, of course, they cant charge membership for a beta. there were almost no hackers, i actually never encountered one. and the community was A LOT better, no one accusing of hacking for every kill. I was pretty good :)
Crossfire has a fairly good community compared to most F2P fps's. Its graphics being pretty bland will put people off crossfire quite quickly. But if you can get into it crossfire is probably the best F2P fps.
There are few hackers.
Nearly any computer can run it.
The 'membership guns' arnt that over powered.
And like I said the community is fairly good.
I think people are only atracted to warrock for its graphics and extra options of gameplay but apart from that its full of retarded nub hxers

crossfire is fun dont get me wronge but.. i mean two complety different platforms... crossfire is more dealing with up close and fast paced fights while warrock is more open. if ur a sniper ull probly go with warrock sniping on crossfire is hell... i hate the scope in and back out feature after every shot.. both have its ups and downs...as the problem with hackers.... there in everygame so stop cryn like a bich about it..

WarRock was ruined in the very beginning by an INSANE surge of hackers that attacked as soon as the game was moved from beta to retail release. I remember picking up my copy from Best Buy about three days after release, and already, it was almost impossible to find a match without a hacker. Now imagine that being spanned over the first six months after retail release, and you can hopefully understand why the community is so critical.

back then, warrock was actually kinda fun considering it was a free FPS shooter, but as the years passed and new games like combat arms and crossfire came out, it kind of died down because of hacking or some shit. i agree with FSR's rating, between Crossfire and Warrock, Crossfire is dominant. It is pretty interesting considering there are vehicles though, but warrock just died down

i play it im lvl 31 there are alot of these "12 yr" olds as u describe them and there are some decent players but to be honest this game is fked up sometimes and sometimes not, sometimes you find yourself top scored with 20 - 3 and the toher day you playing against the same players and you have 1 - 9 the 12 yr olds hack alot themselves but this game is to loaded with aimbot, chams etc the developers should be dealing with this instead of selling weapons on their site

I know warrock aint that great, but come on. It aint as bad as crossfire. I played both of those games and find cross fire sucks ass! I'd probably give it a 3/4 out of 10. WarRock I would probably give a 6/7 out of 10. Im sorry if I'm being a bit biased. Combat arms is a cool game too.

I enjoy CrossFire, AVA, and to some degree Combat Arms. I tried Warrock and played for about two days. After the novelty of having vehicles in a free shooter wore off, it become obvious how shallow the gameplay was.

Warrock beta was really good! all guns were available to you, of course, they cant charge membership for a beta. there were almost no hackers, i actually never encountered one. and the community was A LOT better, no one accusing of hacking for every kill. I was pretty good :)

Crossfire has a fairly good community compared to most F2P fps's. Its graphics being pretty bland will put people off crossfire quite quickly. But if you can get into it crossfire is probably the best F2P fps.
There are few hackers.
Nearly any computer can run it.
The 'membership guns' arnt that over powered.
And like I said the community is fairly good.
I think people are only atracted to warrock for its graphics and extra options of gameplay but apart from that its full of retarded nub hxers
