Sure it's easy to see it now, with the recording, it's obvious the horse is frustrated for not being fed / lay off outside but the woman is not abusing any horse - after she was kick she even did not do anything bad - she carry on her job and close the stable. I do not believe in letting horses run to/from pastures. It creates unnecessary dangers to the horses and humans that are at the barn and conditions the horse to run once a gate is opened. In the long run it is much faster to lead a horse in/out because you don't have to deal with them running around like loonies.

i have to admit i've made the same mistake. when horses are turned out to pasture, they can be very excited and will kick up their heels. i turned my horse out one day and when i took his halter off he ran away, and as he was running away he kicked up his heels and got me just above the knee. i now know it is good practice to LEAD your horse to pasture and TURN HIM AROUND to face you and then take off the halter. no abuse, no bad manners, just a silly mistake that can be prevented
Maybe that lady should lose the whip and lead the horses out instead of carry a whip and snapping it at the horses. If I was that horse I would kick her in the head and nock some knowledge into her brain.

When ever she would come to get some he would stand still and wait but when she left he ramped up again and when she let him out he twice tried to get at the hay and she stopped him. On his last return trip he was just letting her know that he wanted that hay and she shouldn't have stopped him, very spoiled horse I think.

Not very savvy! Perhaps all the Savvy was in the stick! If you want to get picky it's a Carrot stick with a Savvy string attached, however the horse has no idea, stick whip whatever, it also depends how it is used. Kick was very close to her head very lucky. The horse took aim though she didn't get the full force it was just a warning he was very stressed. I guess she has learned a hard lesson we all do from time to time.

She's completely idiot. First of all, this stallion is a mess although its conditions are not bad. Paper boxes, plastic tubes on the floor and wheelbarrows leaned against the wall can couse many accidents. 2.She souldn't let the horses go without a halter, or at the very least she should keep distance. 3.She's waving with stick in her hands which annoys the horses. It's all about paying attention. I have been worked in a stallion for 6 years and i've never been kicked by horse.

@lifesavingperson1 She didn't chase him. I know because I HAVE chased horses, she walked over and used body language to clear them out of the aisle. That was pure naughtiness on that horses part. I've cleared aisles loads of times and sometimes they feel their oats, get a little naughty. The woman didn't do anything wrong.

Not very savvy! Perhaps all the Savvy was in the stick! If you want to get picky it's a Carrot stick with a Savvy string attached, however the horse has no idea, stick whip whatever, it also depends how it is used. Kick was very close to her head very lucky. The horse took aim though she didn't get the full force it was just a warning he was very stressed. I guess she has learned a hard lesson we all do from time to time.

Personally, whenever a horse does something like this intentionally, I go after them. Get a whip and chase them to let them know it was NOT ok. Totally disrespect for the woman and should not be ignored.

That was abit of a mess I am glad shes not hurt ,he is big and that could have been alot worse... Out of all the horses its easy to see he is raving. letting him out and telling him to get out. Then letting another horse out aswell which is why he re-enters the barn (hungry), has made it chaotic.. He does need work he is naughty by intentionally kicking her.

She's completely idiot. First of all, this stallion is a mess although its conditions are not bad. Paper boxes, plastic tubes on the floor and wheelbarrows leaned against the wall can couse many accidents. 2.She souldn't let the horses go without a halter, or at the very least she should keep distance. 3.She's waving with stick in her hands which annoys the horses. It's all about paying attention. I have been worked in a stallion for 6 years and i've never been kicked by horse.
