They all claim they don't know why they killed them. We hear that line every time. I think the reason is obvious but if they admit they killed them so they can't be a witness against them for the sex acts they would be eligible for the death penalty..

I have only just heard about this (from UK) and just spent 2 hours asking why why why? Thought maybe she was covering for a family member...but you are right. The motive can only be one thing - sexual deviance! They never admit that do they - but yeah - I also think it's pretty obvious now I think about it.

@jessdoublediz Yes, true...I have seen meds pack weight on people...and there are a LOT of obese people in the U.S. I was just putting myself in her position, because if I am upset, I don't eat, and there would be no way I could eat if I were in jail, or if I had killed a little girl, etc. But, you explained it :~)

Meds have made people do some horrible things, you are right.

Huckaby is even more fat than she was at her arrest...how can that be? I thought jail food was disgusting and scarce. She is like 20-30 lbs. heavier, and her hair is shorter. Makes me wonder what that jail must be like, if you can eat all you want and get a new hairdo in there!

according to the definition of the law a life sentence is defined as 20 years or more. Early on a life sentence was considered 10 years. I suppose that could be different state to state, This lady should kill herself, or taken out back one .45 to the temple then put in the ground. it's not just her I think this of all violent and low life repeat offenders. If only they came to my house, I would save alot of taxpayers money.

The last time I checked 1st degree murder was a 20-life sentence, how did Melissa's sentence get up to life w/o parole? Is your sentence based upon how much press coverage there is, or how sensational it is? Is one person's life worth more than anothers? For those that say, she was a little girl, what my ears hear you saying is that killing a senior citizen should earn you a slap on the wrist. I reject the charge of kidnapping and call this a straight up murder, and say repentence merits mercy.
