  • the GOD of jazz.

  • I can haz jazz? :D Haha, just kidding, great performance! ;)

  • What a voice.

  • simply epic

  • I like this song

  • are there any people with voices like this today? I like jazz but all i ever listen to is the oldies on youtube

  • @justindavis2012 Yeah there are. I just met a guy like this at a jazz club about a month ago in New Orleans

  • Dear uploader.

    I love you.

    That is all.

  • bing crosby in technicolor haha

  • i am listen to drum'n bass, elector, metal, but jazz is the most epic thing :D

  • Take a plane, go to siam? lol Oh, Thailand.

  • This is just so..... My late father was a jazz man especially louis for the last 60 years, I had only heard this peice in High Society (of which Louis appeared) but this is the real thing

  • how great would it have been just to sit there, in the same room with Louie. and witness such amazing music.

  • This entire series of videos is great ! Thanks for uploading !

  • Thank the lord that we got to experience this wonderful music and reflect on the people did not share this creation

  • louis sounds like he enjoyed his smokes!

Thats a hell of a raspy voice..

He always cheers me up god bless him!

  • Although i am against smoking, it does seem to improve the voice in a way. Nat King Cole said it improved his voice. The irony was that he died from lung cancer

  • I smell a lolcats parody...

    I can haz jazz?

  • <3 :]

  • Very close to his performance in Newport 1960. Thanks for sharing this treasure!!!

  • THE BEST.

  • Ahhh man, this is so perfect! Such soulful poetry.

And I think I just found my new set of samples hahaha. 0:01-0:45.

  • i can haz jaz plz? kthxbai

    this is great stuff

  • 'Bing Crosby in technicolour...' love it. now there was a man with a sense of humour.

  • love this clip...but where was the sax? How can you have jazz without a saxophone? It was still great to see pops though, as always!

  • I am by no means an authority, but I don't think that the Saxophone figures too heavily into Dixieland bands. The 'exception' I guess being the Soprano Sax, which in Dixieland usage is basically a clarinet subsitute.

  • Geweldig!

  • Tha's the same song Bing Crosby sang with Louis Armstrong in the 1955 movie "High Society" also starring Sinatra and Grace Kelly(available on DVD with high quality video and audio))

  • u got it, cuz it seems like u doing some commercial

  • "u kno i'm defrosting here"...lol :)

  • oooo.... yeah!!!!

  • Like I said a legend he will always be.

  • man im only 16, but it does my heart really good to see people like this anyone who knows more artist's from this era plz message me, i am a amuter boxer n my trainer turned me to this, n i like it

  • lol. im 15 and hate rap. love jazz. :)

  • same here =]]]]]] i dont hate rap tho, i jus aquired a taste for the jazz from my boxin trainer

  • i'm 15. i can't stand rap, but i love metal, but i can't stand it when people are fixed on one type of music they see as superior. i love metal, jazz, blues, reggae, indie, classic rock, and it goes on...

  • yeah people need to see more than just one type of music, but u have to notice the fact that practically everyone blames rap for "the downfall" of USA n its rlly not lol

  • I don't understand why felt the need to state your age in your comment. Good music is timeless, and your age shouldn't be relevant to your enjoyment of any type of music.

  • if you like Jazz but cant stand Rap, check out Digable Planets, or Tribe Called Quest, itll change your mind about rap

  • lena horne, peggy lee, ella fitzgerald, bing crosby, pearl bailey, mildred bailey, mamie smith, louis prima

  • Thanks Louis & Trummy. Flying @ 10000 feet!

  • BRILLIANT performance. The call and response with Trummy Young was fantastic. By the time you finish watching, you feel that you've bene given the recipe for playing Jazz. And you feel you're immediately well equipped to pick up any instrument and perfectly fit into a Jazz band. Even if you haven't played a note in your life. Louis Armstrong and his All Stars were magicians. Fantastic stuff!

  • Can you tell us the name of the freeware you used to convert your DVD's? Thanks

  • KING LOUIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Thanks to you,and YouTube to keep my heart alive every second of my life, listening and watching them...there is no lost for anything..its only a god blessing to see them yet, this way. They wont imagine it,for sure.-MAX

  • swings like heaven on earth

  • All of the clips from this show are great. Thanks so much for posting them. The correct title of this song is "Now You Has Jazz".

  • Hi Phil, Thank you for your support! I've changed the title.

    till next time!

    greetings Jasper

  • By the way, don't give nothing on Ulysses comment. He obviously doesn't have no idea about music..

  • Really nice video :-) True pleasure... I'm looking forward for what else you have to offer!

  • Next time only serious reactions please!

  • jaspervanpelt,
