@lokkingazzniggah Stagger Limit = for example kirin has a stagger limit of 200. we say 2000 is his hp. When it reaches 1800, it flinches.

GS Charge = When you hold Triangle using GS, it will do a charge attack.

Good guide vid btw... I cant really hit the lvl 3 charge on the side of the head... So I normally do lvl 3 charge on the back when it faces u or if it doesnt turn it will hit the tail....Its risky though because it can hit you with a tail whip.

HR only increases on Guild quests, you need to clear all the required quests in the highest rank available in the gathering hall.

After they're done, do the urgent quest.

Then your Hunting Rank increases, you unlock new quests and get a shiny new colour for your name above your head in town.

Ok do u know the fire blast attack from teostras mouth? well here the tips

1. GO TO THE SIDE!

2. Put a 2 large barrel bomb + and small barrel bomb + very quick!

4. KABOOM! Teostra Got heavy Damage!!

Guys ima kinda stuck here, im on granny 6 start quests (STILL havent completed 5 star) And im still on HR one, should i advance a couple more Hr's and then start on doing some more granny quests, or should i keep doing what im doing, then do HR quests

@opiphx it depends, have you got friends to do the guildhall quests? i started out on my own at first and only did the granny quests. as the guild ones are a lot tougher on your own. just with 1 friend it makes it a lot easier. eventually you should do the HR quests though.

I did all the village ones, and then I started do to the guild hall ones, since they're tougher. You can complete all the online quests alone, you don't necessarily need a partner, but it wouldn't matter anyway.

Thanks for the guide, it helped me so much! I used Sword of the Diablos which has 912 raw damage, along with Powercharm, it's 940. I also used Full Diablos armor for Reckless Abandon, sometimes Rathalos Soul for the Attack Up (Med) and Earplugs.

If you really want to stop the fire feathers, jus break the horn and it will cancel the fire effect but u need dragon element to break the horn.

hey, an easier way to examine the "sparkles" is to look at the color of the sprinkles... When a little orange, means close ranged, but when lightly yellow, means long ranged, that's based on my observations, anyways... --___--

Try the Troublesome Pair quest the Elder gives at the 6* level. Break Both wings (how you would do to get Los Wings) and cut the tail (I always cut it). Then try to go for a capture.

When I was lower HR I got my fire dragon claws from farming HR 3 or 4 Rathalos, and for the plates do the HR 4 quest

where you fight the Rathalos and Rathian.

When it breathes full flame use GS charged hits on its front leg, or wait for it to end and have a single attack on its snout(nose).

When it bursts firefly sprinkles, attack the snout once(risky but effective).

When it tail swipes, land 1 blow on its snout.

After it keels over on its side, go for a full charged hit on its snout.

here is what i do:

wait for it to attack

hit 4 times (like u said) to make it flinch

land a full charge on the head

let it attack again

hit the face and reapeat
