I see that they no longer shave your head in basic. I went through Lackland in 1969. Much different back then.

the pt thing to stay alive is actually true. i work for a man whose mom is 110. how did she live to be that old? she stays active and doesn't lay in bed all day. it isn't a diet either, she eats chocolate a lot.

Btw, does anyone here have any tips on doing good on the Weaver portion of the obstacle course? many people have told me its the hardest part of the course

@RetroJaysFTW it is the hardest. but you need to get momentum. When your coming over the green your need to kinda throw youself under the yellow and quickly get back up over the green. Thats really the only easy way to do it. But it still sucks haha

@valeriavinn I have talked to someone who was in the Air Force. Actually he's my boss. He said that when you do it in basic it is hell because you are already exhausted but if you went into the course without doing all the other stuff it would be fun.

@luzanillajr You take the end of course exam which is easy if you looked at the questions in the book. And you take your final PT Test. You finish up with parade practice drill, its the last week b4 graduation, so your flight is pollishing your drill. You've probably already at that point washed and turned your trainee weapon in as well. Wear blues most of the time too. 8th week is a breeze for the most part, coin ceremony on Thur and grad. on Friday. Monday you ship out.

@wooper0417 they say that the female dynamics are very different. you go through the same things, but in the beginning, all the females hate each others guts. but they bond by week four, and usually hate each other again by week 8.

the males bond quickly, HATE each other for about 3 weeks in the middle, then at the end are inseparable.
