awesome flying ! i just got a set for mine and tried them out yesterday. check out some of my vids...i like to attatch cameras top my planes and shoot aerial stuff......good job !
good video just a quick question i have never flow en a plane before i have drove rc cars and trucks but that is getting boring and want to try something new now how hard is it and is this a good plane for a beginner?
@wheelyking23 Good beginner plane = Hobbyzone champ, same flight characteristics as this only smaller so less damage on crashes, also cheaper so if you ruin it but easy to repair.
@wheelyking23 Yeah I got a Super Cub a few years back now I fly a Parkzone Extra 300. The Super Cub is a great beginner plane and is pretty cheap to. Im not sure about the Champ airplane but if its smaller it wouldnt fly as well in wind.
Nice vid. I've been thinking about a plane like this, something fairly inexpensive I need to upgrade from my current plane. I also love the floats, I'd like to try that since here there is more water than open field. And as for the motor in water, if that's fresh water I wouldn't worry lol. I've sunk 2 of my R/C boats in the past 3 years, in salt water, and I'm still using the same motors and electronics ! And nothing's even waterproof!
nice plane i had one for a year i crash it flying upside down over the water. your landing looked a little rough but glad to see other people are flying water planes

@earthling1984 that vid is awesome i dont see that many people using the floats its awesome to see that someone else actually does other than me ( i need to put some vids up of my floats though )
three mistakes high is a term for beginners that have never flown planes before. and i am not trying to sound like a jerk to beginners because i use to be a beginner a long time ago. i have and fly about 15 planes now and i dont even use "three mistakes high" even when im flying my 4 or 5 channel planes. 3 channel planes are even easier. just like earthling1984 said, us experts dont make mistakes :).
@RCsMyLife12 I'm sure you know what you're doing, but I'll be queuing up with everyone else to remind you of this post and the phrase 'us experts don't make mistakes' next time you make one :)
@earthling1984 Not that I think you're a bad pilot but you can't say you don't make mistakes when your video says you shouldn't land with a side wind and you specifically said you got lucky. If you don't make mistakes, you don't need luck to save you from something you shouldn't do. That being said, I am purchasing a Super Cub and can't wait till I'm as good as you.
Nice one and yeah that cross wind can be a bit of a pig to land in and when you tryed to go inverted i think with that wind it just kept hitting the floats and tryed to right it's self unless you had the ACT turned on?? anyways great flight with the touch and go's = 5*
@startazz Thanks. ACT is off :) Wouldn't use that myself, don't even really recommened it to beginners. It can help a beginner, but only if they have a high enough altitude. Anyways, your probably right that the floats were causing it to right itself. I'll keep trying :)
Maybe you would know starazz. when you go inverted, then spin 'out of control' toward the ground, what is that trick called? I do it often, but never know what to call it ;p That is what I was trying in this vid, but it wouldn't do it.
Great flight video! By the way you are the reason why I went out and bought the Ember 2 and MCX today along with the DX7. So far I've only been able to fly the MCX (too windy right now for the Ember) but hopefully it will be calm enough tomorrow. Great vids! Keep 'em coming!
Thanks! And that is awesome dude! You also made VERY SMART starter heli/plane choices! I'm sure you wil have great fun learning then moving up! Any questions or you need any help let me know!
I did tumble once on landing, plane went upside down in water. Got it out a couple minutes later. Motor was 100% under water, but rest of electornics were still above water. Took it out of the water, motor still ran! Amazing...
@earthling1984 you would be surprised what a brusjed motor would go though, its becuase it uses a differant way of completing its electronic circut to Brushless :)
Wonder if this bird is still a good starter, or is there an updated version?
