  • Stevie Ray Vaughn was the man. To quote BB King "he's the best there ever was, the best there ever will be". Now take that for what's it's worth. Everything is subjective.

This version flat out kicks ASS!!! That riff he does at the 1:47 mark just blows my mind. Strats forever.

  • god, i have been playin guitar for almost 9 years now,(im 16) and nstevie has been my influence ven when i got into metal(2months LOL) and when i got into MGMT(still am) but im stuck with the blues! and no matter how fast you play, its the soul and the way you put feeling into music and... i wish i could play like/with stevie!!

  • For a small man he was larger than life, and this tune shows it. I agree, best version of this tune out there.

  • I haven't ever heard anything like this! Not even from SRV! This is something so fucking rough, tight, amazing blues that my mind just literally dies! Plain and simple, DIES.

  • I have no words to describe what I feel when I hear SRV, JUST AMAZING!!!!

  • Welcome to The Titty Twister...LOL! Dusk Till Dawn..

  • He kinda looks like Barbosa from Pirates of the Caribbean :O I like his music though!! :)

  • @DrPepperMonster4974 what are you smoking dude lol

  • legend

  • Only Stevie could take a nursery ryhme and make it bad ass, in my opinion there is 3 guitarist that could be argued #1 (Stevie, Jimi, and Eric Clapton). SRV you will forever be missed

  • @my87z28

It was Buddy Guy who turned the rhyme into a song, SRV is covering this song as a Buddy Guy song

  • @baskes94 thanx for the info, i didn't know that

  • old skool lols .. mean !!!

  • What kind of pickups are those?

  • @nejintealls lipstick pickups ;)

  • Every guitar player I know, seem to try & play this song but always fails to deliver.. lol.

    Peace!

  • thank the lord for youtube. i wasn't even born when srv died. his legacy will be preserved here forever

  • Thanks. I had to get my fix. Saw him play in S.A. twice and once in Dallas and once in Houston. Best guitar player that ever lived

  • 1st song I Stripped for!!

  • I met you so late in my life, I MISS YOU! YOU ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST

  • Sounds like "Pride and Joy"!! =D

  • my childhood started with this.; forget the hell before it, here is my mother's bosom.

  • he looks like a pimp lol

  • my favorite SRV song by far.

not diggin the piano that much though, i like it with just double trouble better

  • @MsDeadleg me too

  • class all the way, I was sad when he died, there is also rare footage on the tube about him and his struggle with drink and drugs.

  • Strait up f'n Stevie

  • An music orgasm is coming up:D

    So epic!!!

  • this is one of most coolest shows whit vaughn, is so great watching he play

  • Hello every body, for me it's the best blues guitarist of the world, i ever seen.

Thanks Stevie for your music and to the way.

    R.I.P

  • WICKED!!!!!!!!!!

  • Im gonna take that one DISlike as a accident cuz there is NO way that anybody on THE PLANET can dislike this. I just dont see it happening

  • fuggin absolutely amazing that he can take such a basic joke of a song and turn it into solid gold with an amazing amount of soul. omg this man is a king!!!

  • Benne van a háromban.

  • see that? DID YOU SEE THAT? I saw smoke coming out of the geeee-tar, I SWEAR. Sounds so AWESOME it's as if 3 guys are playing guitar :)))))))∞

Tisket. Tasket. A green and yellow basket :D

  • srv can definitely speak through his guitar.

  • What luck the greatest guitarist ever also had one of the best blues voices we've ever known!

  • one of best guitar players of all times right there.........up the with randy rhoada and slash ...kurt hammett ..jimmy hendrix

  • Woah..... everytime he plays a song, its diffenrent than he played before...... GREAT STEVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SRV Baby! the one and only. never played the same song twice

  • tisket-tasket..dayum! SRV

  • Why is he so awesome?

and when i say awesome, i mean FUCKING awesome ^^

  • I know this is a old argument, but I'll take SRV over Hendrix, SRV has a cleaner style. Little wing, both great versions, but SRV is . . . well better. just my 2 cents though

  • They are my two biggest inspirations. I think Hendrix deserves the credit though.I mean without Hendrix there would be no SRV, SRV would be the first to admit that. Like I say though, these two are the best!

  • i dont think he would ever admit that so what if he did a couple of cover,, he is very different

  • He was obsessed with Hendrix. He even thought one night that Jimi's spirit entered him and that he was possesed by Not trying to argue though man, I just love the both of them, and I thank god that he gave us both of them!

  • After Hendrix just you man SRV.

  • just the best!!!!!

  • The greatest version of Mary Had A Little Lamb ever...someday when I have children, this shall be their nursery songs!

  • for the nigga in you SRV! love this shit

  • AMEN!

  • My nigga

  • Spread the Gospel, SRV

  • So F'kin Hot!

  • express yourself lol i like tht part

  • Mary Had a little Lamb !

reminds me of From Dusk Till Dawn

  • For me this is the absolute best version of "Mary Had A Little Lamb" So much energy and passion!

  • @48755003 I agree with you completely! He is just wailing!! I love it!! Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"

  • @48755003 I AGREE with u ;) best version of a nursery ryme ever.

  • Alot of people only see SRV....what about the backup musicians? Tommy Shannon is an exceptional bass player

  • No doubt about it, but you have to admit, Stevie scored them all off! xD

  • yeah mate, but gotta agree with this rocknostalgic guy, no matter how good his backup musicians are, SRV easily outshines them all x

  • I totally agree with both of you!!!!!...im just saying without the backup musicians there is no band at all. But indeed, SRV was no doubt up there with Jimi Hendrix and Randy Rhoads........legendary.

  • Man i remember this concert (i was there!) like it is a fresh memory, It was so freakin awesome! he played the blues very well! i remember the koncert back at 1982! he played awesome there aswell but i was ashamed that there were people that was actually booing at him, but he didnt care and just kept playing! RIP SRV! you will be missed!

  • Why would they boo at him!

  • Awesome man.

  • lol,"express yourself"

  • Wonderful guitarplaying and performance. +++++

  • I like the way he turned a childs rhyme into a wonderful song. Love you VB.

  • check out Buddy Guy

  • you probobly found this out already, but it was buddy guy that wrote it, i reckon this is better tho,

it makes me think of mary and her lamb wearing dark sunnies and struting around the playground

  • @BigSRV

    buddy guy did it..

    But Stevie perfected it!

  • @BigSRV In fact Buddy Guy did so, but nevertheless Stevies rendition is of unreachable heights.

  • @BigSRV Who's VB?

  • my favorite version of this. played it once w/ my cover band. RIP SRV, we love u and miss you.

PS. what is that guitar? i'm guessing fender model?

  • Fender Stratocaster

  • its a stratocaster.

SRV was a huge fan of Jimmy Hendrix, hence the guitar and similar guitar style

  • Stevie played a Strat cause he wanted to and cause it suited him the best, not cause of Jimi Hendrix.

  • its like someone doesnt want all the good rockstars(such as hendrix, srv, rhoads, etc)

  • Awesome performance, Stevie, as always!

You have no idea the pride and joy I take seeing you wear the shirt that I gave you! Miss ya, buddy, RIP @->->---

  • What do you mean? You gave him that shirt?

  • @dcraigz24 cough cough {retard} cough

  • Miss him sooo much!!! How does Tommy Shannon keep up with him?
