Thanks for your comments. The V-Synth is a good versatile synth, you can produce powerful bass sounds. In addition, I use an analog synth, a Pulse+ from Waldorf.
For drums in this part on this song, I worked with the V-Synth (import, cutting and work on slices of samples). The trick is to correctly assemble a lot of samples cutted, distorted, accelerated and slowed.
For this live act, I played the most parts with my hands (leads, keyboards, basses, FXs, etc.), without performance mode. I don't used midi so much because all sounds are directly produced with the V-Synth but I used my midi foot controller to add some modulations on the V-Synth that I can't do in same time that I play.
I used the V-Synth to create the most of sounds. There's some samples too, uploaded and reworked on the V-Synth, often in live. Otherwise, I used some VST plugins to create additional sounds.
I use the Glasstron like a pianist use a partition for play his song.
My live set is a little bit complicated (hand control change, play a lot of parts live, modulations, foot control change and more, loop play, play next scene, scene selection, start/stop sequence, etc.).
All that I have to do in live is displayed in the Glasstron.

Do you only play down the samples or is it midi sequencing in performance mode?
