I also noticed something about all of there first Gundams. If you take Kyrios's speed and transformation, Seravee's Bazooka's and heavy armor, Dynames long range ability, stealth and acuraccy and, Exia's Close range and reaction time and combine them you get WING GUNDAM!! XD I looked at all the suits and put the pieces together... or rather took them apart and realized these suits are just Wing Gundam separated into four categories. LOLOLOL
The Wing Gundam is not specialized in close quarters combat (The Shenlong/Sandrock was), it only featured a beam saber. Nor was it a anti-personal long range unit, it's buster rifle might as well be considered a assault weapon. The Gundams (generally) from Wing also didn't move too fast, maybe this was the limited animation but in Endless Waltz they were hit by Serpents, a lot frankly. The only similarities is the transformation, heavy assault, and great armor.
@Omegamegamanzx Actually the Wing Gundam was made to cover ALL Fields. It could battle well in close range and with Buster Rifle is a mid to long range weapon. And the wing Suits did have speed but like you said it was limited animation from back then. IF they re-did it now they would be Sick! XD As for the Endless Walts movie they were fighting to Dissable the suits instead of destroying them. If they really wanted to destroy them they wouldn't have been hit any where near as much as they did.
One or two beam saber(s) does not make a MS a close quarters combat suit, it's just that the Wing Gundam had a limited arsenal, the Buster Rifle only had a few shots much like the Unicorn's magnum. It was a general type MS (like most lead Gundams), yes the Buster rifle was a mid-long range weapon but it was not a anti-personal like Dynames's sniper rifle. It was a heavy assault weapon. The Wing Gundam had a lack of weapons in it's bird form, unlike most transformable MS.
So... its all tragic and we're supposed to feel bad when Howard or Dayrel get taken down... but when the main characters are going around killing hundred of soldiers without so much as flinching, that's just fine? Especially Lockon, i figured he would be the type to be aiming for the legs, weapons or heads, not just tanking his way through the battlefield willy nilly.
You know... when you see a giant robot that's armed and it's face doesn't look human at all, you probably don't think that it's a human inside the machine in the chaos of battle. But after the battle it takes time to sink in, examples can be found through-out Gundam series and even other mecha series like Eureka Seven. Renton (from Eureka Seven) never realized he was killing people when he blew mechs up until like 20 episodes in.
+ They were never planning to be heroic vagabonds and disabling all enemy mobile suits like Kira. The point of CB (first season) was to gather up the hate of the world so that the world would unite against the Gundams.
@Slixer Graham did? o.O uh no actually i think you got it wrong. Graham took throne ein's beam saber not exia's beam daggers. and if they had gotten hold of the beam saber they would have been able to understand how to create beam sabers...yeah....
@Slixer -.-" dude....if they had gotten hold of a beam saber they could break it apart and research it. and they will understand how it works and how to make it work ETC....
and yes its still a beam saber. what are you implying at??
@GUNDAM00745 They did get a beam saber, they didn't go on to mass produce it, they had it a good few episodes before the GN-Xs where introduced, the task was either to difficult or just not useable for their current tech. The Sabers most likely where designed to become useless after thrown much like how Kyrios modules where designed to be useless after use. More to the point as I pointed out, to make the beam saber work they either needed a unit designed of it or to plug it into a GN Drive
@Slixer guess you werent paying attention. the time Aker got his hands on the Gn beam saber was also the time time the GN tau drive was released to the Union...
@GUNDAM00745 The technology of the Thrones and the Technology of the Thrones were the same. the Thrones were built by Laguna Harvey, as were the GN-X units, and the Tau Drives, using technology that was provided to Harvey by Alejandro Corner.
The first time Acre used the bean saber to cut off Eins arm, there were residual particles that remained within the weapon. The second time, during his battle with Setsuna, he was using a GN drive that emitted the same kind of particles as the Thrones did.
Lockon *_* Wow I wished he fought more like that in the series. =3 I'm glad they added a scene with him using the Dual Pistols since he rarely uses them in a proper fight.
@SuperPwnmaster I think thats what they were trying to reference. Lol Just like when Duo back the upgraded Deathscythe Hell and all the Mobil dolls attack him........ thought they had bigger guns still. Both scenes are epic.
@SuperPwnmaster Ok how I see it Dynames is referencing Duo in Deathscythe with the shield and Heavy arms with the guns, while Seravee firing its canons is like referencing Wing Gundams Buster Rifle, and Exia is referencing Sandrock with more weaponry.

@GUNDAM00745 Graham did, but to power it properly they pretty much had to be plugged into a Tau Drive all the time.
