  • Great movie. Downey deserved the award for best actor no doubt.

  • where the hell is part 4?

  • The George Lucas wipe...wtf?

  • Oh oh! Somebody forgot Chaplin was left-handed. 08.30

  • Robert was so handsome when he was young.. well, he still is :) <3

He's so amazing in this movie. Very touching.

  • i love RDJ hes hot xxx and funny

  • This movie is just gold.

    I need this on DVD

  • he was an amazing person

true today silent films r boring as hell but back then they were the only form of media they had

  • @carson11100 wtf? i'm 20 and i LOVE silents!

  • @CorieFaulkner I'm 16 and I love silents lol

  • @carson11100 Don't speak for all of us, mate. I'm 22 and I love silents.

  • @ChelsRex good for you! im just saying i find them kinda boring, although i do enjoy the silent horror films

  • @carson11100 Not a problem. I agree with you there, silent horrors are great. Lon Chaney is indeed, the man.

  • he was an amazing person

  • trivia: Chaplins derby and big trousers were contributed by his co worker and famous comedian, Fatty Arbuckle :)

  • Ribert has a baby face here...face and voice...so cute!

  • whats the music called in the back when there looking over chaplain's movie

  • took a while to figure out thats D.D.X-Files..Mr. Sexaholication.. a clear shot of him here & his nasal voice readily gave it away. flat out im not a RDJ fan & just waitin for him to turn into Magneto here & make us wildly laugh (like in Natural Born Killers) but it just aint happenin. Hes been awfully preachy about his 'Sober' comeback & just now stars a role model for actors that want 'to clean up their act'..we all know what the white powder on the face really is..& how it got its nickname.

  • Wow.... Right in the moment after he finds out she's married , it's like he went into a kind of "Citizen Kane" mode as it pertains to love....spending the rest of his life trying to get back the love he lost with Heddy with other women, right down to the pre-adult age too.........

  • @hercer12

it's cokeny accent though, are you from that part of London? I'm from England and I've heard tons of people talk like that

  • More beans for Edna! =)

  • I think there should have been some more scenes with Edna Purviance. I mean, she starred in more than 30 Chaplin-pictures and he also had a relationship with her from 1915-1917. Here she almost seems a little bit like a footnote.

But anyway - great movie, no doubt about that :D

  • @wurstgitarre Yes, although Penelope Ann Miller is a bit too slim and willowy. They should also have portrayed Eric Campbell. I think, with a bit of makeup and lightening of the hair, Robbie Coltrane would have made a good Campbell.

  • i think his accent is pretty good for an American, his cockney is ok, but his posh is flawless

  • robert downey junior looks so different! I never knew this was him! what a good english accent too!

    love this film.

  • 'I wish her luck and happiness. Well, not a lot. But some.'

  • 6:43 WHY SO SERIOUS?

  • I thought him kicking the immigration officer up the butt was very funny.

  • I love how cocky Fairbanks is. As if his opponent would actually try and gore him during dinner.

    :D~

  • She doesnt look like Edna Purviance, but her voice sounds right to me. not that I would actually know :)

  • very stupid comment by the way!

    the voice??? really?

  • just how I would imagine it.

  • Damn what a good time they must've had! Young, beautiful ppl w/ money on the verge of stardom as Hollywood's being built w/ gorgeous Cali scenery as a backdrop lol

  • the moment after he finds out heddy is married...his brother calls him the "MOST FAMOUS MAN IN THE WORLD" just as you can see his heart breaking....... wonderfully touching.

I lost true love while chasing my career in showbiz as well.

this hit me like a brick, when i watched it.

  • I feel you there. Fame and success can be a lonely place...

  • @DangerousDik You are in showbiz? May I ask what you are doing? (And may I expect an answer, too?)
