john deer Trackers are 100% American made and that didn't take me a long time to come up with Walmart sends its business to china to pay people 1 dollar a day and thats called slave labor they have been busted before for doing that before. It would make more sence with all the bad aconomy now to make your own suppys ect.
@MrBattlemage777 Sadly, what Americans fail to realize is that 99% of what is "manufactured" in the US is actually manufactured and produced overseas somewhere. The assemblies will collectively meld off shore till it hits American soil where some overpaid, under worked union slob puts 2 pieces together and slaps on the "Made in America" sticker. Thats not made in America ... thats not even assembled in America. Thats "let other people do the real work and I'll take the credit"
There is no such thing as "buy American" anymore. Tell me ONE product that starts as raw material on this continent, is produced, manufactured and packaged then retailed and distributed entirely on this continent. You'll be there awhile trying to think of something
@svoteary like MrBattleImage777 said: John Deer, also Ford Motor company, Pierce Manufacturing in Wisconsin - a union shop that makes the best Fire Trucks and Emergency vehicles in the world. There are lots, but truthfully the list is fading fast bc of America's outsourcing frenzy. And why should any list of "Made In The USA" products have to be distributed entirely on this continent? Nothing wrong with exporting in my opinion. American manufacturing = American economic growth.
@MrBattlemage777 - It's not realistic that WalMart should stop selling imports, but I would like more balance. Their business model shuts down US businesses or forces them overseas: jobs and businesses are exported, goods are imported. They don't care how their practices affect the well being of the US. The same US Citizens negatively affected by the trade defecit and resulting recession shop there in droves. I don't expect WalMart to change, but I hope citizens begin to shop more wisely.
@marcusreedus balance is good but when it comes to seeing nothing but imported goods coming in the store it makes me want to shop somewhere else do to the fact they could do better.I work overnights at a walmart and Our Organization called Our walmart is going to make changes in the stores not only for the employee's there but for the customers.I agree with you about them shutting down small stores and forcing them overseas thats not right at all.
@marcusreedus Great news I'm a member of Our walmart it is awesome Our goal to get back the Values what Sam walton built the on.Thanks for sharing marcus:)
Hey supress. How bout just not shopping there? They show thier employees loop holes on how to get well fare even when they don't qualify. You have any idea how much that drains our economy....and my paycheck? Shop Target.
Don't complain folks! It's just "The great Amurrrican Dream" in progress! After all, you wouldn't want to sound like you're against "freemarket" capitalism would you? That would make you a commie-pinko-socialist-Obama-lover! Standing up to corporate America's slow destruction and raping of this country's economy is downright unamurrrican.
It is the goddamned unions. They would destroy Walmart before see it as a sucessful non union shop. I swear that if Walmart is forced to unionize, I will not shop there again ever.
wait why should we stop shopping at walmart? because this video tells us to. so we should stop our trade with china to screw our country up even more than it is now. we shouldnt be fighting with china for steeling our jobs when the US is out sourcing over a million jobs to INDIA if you want someone to blame for taking our jobs blame india. china takes 4732 jobs a year well if we shut down the call centers in india we would get alot more than that back. and it would fix our economy too.
a manufacturing operatiopn typically creates thousands of jobs ranging from skilled engineers to laborers - not to mention manufacturing plays a vital role in times of war. as far as india, i am more concerned that they now control the global steel market than i am about their helpdesk and telemarketing industry. besides, this is about trade defecit and shopping at walmart which has more to do with china than india.
true. the video states that walmart is responsible for 11% of the US trade defecit, but that's a big number for just one company. also, i have nothing against china at all. my complaint is only that so many US companies and US consumers are contributing to a trade deficit that was $677 billion in 2008. how can the U.S. recovery economically with a trade deficit like that? we can make a huge difference simply by choosing to purchase domestic products over imported ones.
yes yes but how things are looking right now, its quite unstoppable, there aint many domestic products that we can get and society depends on many many things that we get from china, by the way, the economy is low because of risky loans that werent paid, pretty much the home business is what screwed us up
So? Chinese work day and night for western company. Now it is the time to fuck off from China. Chinese dont want to sacrifice enviroment for those company like wal-mart. It is enough.
I'm fucking done with Walmart... Chinese or not, that place sucks. Yeah u can get cheap stuff there, but then you have to wait in line for 30 minutes to check out. Where is the savings there? Cause u know folks, time is money. Shitty thing is Target is the same shit, most of their stuff is made in China too. Lame...
if your going to boycotte everything thats chinease your going to need some seriouse life changes...everything is made in china...it sucks but its the reality
I have not bought a piece of foreign made clothing in six months. I shop online, and find some products (not many) in stores. I let retailers know I won't buy foreign made, so if they want my business, they need to carry more American made products. Do the bulk of my shopping online these days. Saves running all over town looking and saves gas too.
awesome! consumer spending makes for about 70% of the US economy, so it is possible to influence retailers just by shopping wisely and demanding US goods! We can change the country for the better by just being more discretionary with our purchasing. We don't need to accept all the cheap, dangerous foreign crap that gets pushed by the big retailer. thanks for commenting coyomom!!
great video.. "buy american" is a great idea but we dont make anything but cheeseburgers, zippo lighters and porn. I think we spent ourselves into being part of the problem.
You would think that's the case if you browse most major American retailers, but it isn't true. America still makes lots of very high-quality products - you just can't get them for as cheap 'cause American businesses must pay minimum wage, and meet OSHA, EPA and FDA standards. China and most other overseas manufacturers don't have to do any of that. If you want to live in a world with no regard for human, environmental, and safety issues then keep buying chinese crap.
didn't mean to imply that you did python - my little rant is addresed to American consumers in general. and i'm pretty sure you couldn't buy a u.s. made computer if you tried.
sure the computer isnt american assembled (the mac hardrives are made in cali ) but many of the key components are, and many computers are made in europe..theirs a computer factory near my house in cork,ireland...i know that your encouraging americn made gear but if its made here its probably made there to

@MrBattlemage777
so basically your saying stop importing items from china to walmart
your saying that US should should get the items for American businesses and manufacturers
The only reason they buy from china is because their cheap it isn't their fault for selling their goods for a cheaper price than americans
shouldnt the solution be to have american manufacturers sell goods for a cheaper price (unlikely to happen because loss of profit)
and what do you mean exporting jobs
