i think you will notice that i posted that message before the burj khalifa opened, therefore everybody still thought the height was 218, and the name was burj dubai.

i am well aware of the height.

the elevators in that building go 9-10 m/s so about 80sec, but i heard that you have to change elevator, you can't get to the top only by taking one elevator....but i'm not sure about that changing thing....

Sure it would take ages to go up and down the tower currently. but after it finishes construction, the high-speed elevators will be in use. i heard the speed is 10m/s. so won't be a huge problem
