  • It was absolutely tragic but please remember that Diana was a human being, with faults, just like us. It helped that she was especially beautiful - we all like to adore beautiful people, don't we? A sorry end to her short life but I hope and pray she rests in peace.

  • I never stopped loving her, this makes me so sad! What a loss!

  • after watching the royal wedding between prince william and kate middleton, i am again in awe of princess diana without her prince william and prince harry would of grew up staid and pompos like their dad and grandmother.

It is through diana that we see both prince's loving life as 'NORMAL' as they can.

the out pouring of grief for this beautiful lady can be heard quite vocally on this video.

    long live princess di!! :o(

  • Still makes me cry to this day!

  • u can her ppl cryin 4 her!! so sad!! :/

  • I know Princess Diana would be proud of Prince William right now.

  • The goods die young.

  • este video es penoso para el pueblo ingles

  • This is extremely moving; I was 4 years old when this happened and I still feel very strongly about it. It was a terrible tragedy. I only wish she was there today to see her eldest son on the most poignant day of his life. He and Catherine would have made her so proud.

  • *sigh* she should have been at her son's wedding today...

  • some hardcore diana fans at 7:00

  • Diana was a beautiful woman and she is missed and i adore and respect her. But I did not understand why people are crying like insain.......they did not know her personally...it's like the jfk thing again

  • I will never forget those bells...

  • Wow...When the crowd first see the cortege and people start crying...she sure had (and still has) a powerful affect on people.

  • I was only eight when she died, and I remember watching the funeral with my mom. One of the earlier memories I have is watching Prince William and Prince Harry and the look of their faces, during the procession. It's what I think of every time I see them.

She was so brilliant, and so compassionate. I hope that I can grow up to be 1/100 of what she was.

  • she was a real peoples princess.i love you diana.RIP

  • Everytime I see Prince William and Harry, walking behind their mother's casket, I just feel a twinge of sadness hit me. If my mother passed away, I sure as hell don't want to walk that ridiculously long pathway to the church with millions watching. Poor them :( had to endure that as kids...

  • ooo

  • i think ppl are crying not laughing

  • I was playing at a bingo hall down at Myrtle Beach, SC when the announcer got on the microphone and told all of us that Diana had been killed in that crash. Everyone was shocked, people were crying, it was just the kind of news nobody expected to hear, coming close to 15 years since that night and still can't believe it happened.

  • This video still gives me goose pumps when i hear people crying:(

  • i feel so bad for harry and william,R.I.P Diana!! <3

  • I agree xane

  • The people wailing was a very primitive reaction, bound up with a sense of national identity. Logic is suspended in a moment of ritual - impulse takes over.

  • 06:58 - We loved you, Diana!

  • this is just hearbreaking to watch. i wish she hadn't die. so sad. :( i wish her happiness and peace wherever she is.

  • My goodness, if Diana was still alive she'd be 50 next year. That will be hard for her boys to deal with, poor lads.

  • I have to say, that nobody 'does' big funerals like the British do. We are the best!

  • the horses at the furneral are so well trained

  • Oh god, those cries of agony. I remember being there at the time. There were cries everywhere, fully grown men weeping. Such was the effect she had on her people. RIP Diana x

  • ohh man i remember this day!

they sure were crying hard for her werent they... wow!

  • this the saddest of human history

  • i can't believe there are people laughing in the background...

  • @df61660a theyarent.. how can u say n think that\//

  • @df61660a I think they are crying out loud, not laughing

  • @df61660a Yeah, My thoughts exactly.

  • @df61660a their sobbing...

  • @df61660a theyre crying, not laughing.

  • @df61660a they're not laughing, they're crying Reports from ppl there including the press all said that other than the sobbing in the crowds there was only dead silence. It was very sad.

  • they are crying not laughing

  • @df61660a i dont think they are laughing they are probably wailing!!

  • @df61660a they are crying, not laughing.

i find it devastating that this beautiful princess died at such a young age. it's true, life is too short

    R.I.P diana

It's such a shame she missed william's wedding, i'm sure she would've loved to have seen her eldest son get married.

  • @df61660a I do believe that is sobbing.

  • I still cannot understand that she is dead. Someone like her, is not suppose to die that young. She was suppose to become truely happy, and to see her grand children grow up.

  • Michael Jackson and Lady Diana were close friends, it was their choice, and their right to chose their own friends. Love them both!

  • @nureinherz Close friends?! According to her butler, they only met on two or three occassions, after his concerts in London. Michael said that they were friends, but that was only in his mind.

  • @robinquinc329 i think you'll find he said she was a fan.

  • I was 17 when she died. She was an amazing and lovely woman with a big heart.

  • i still cry -is that normal :(

  • If only Charlie was allowed to marry Camilla in the first place, Diana could have had a relatively normal life.

  • I agree.

  • I was 11 when she died, I remember watching bits and peices. I remember the bells ringing mostly, everytime I hear a cathedral bell, I think of her.

  • God rest her soul you dear Diana remains the people's princess. greetings from Uruguay.

  • why the hell are people laughing while this? its a funeral..

  • some people deal with grief differently than others. it's a coping mechanism.

  • the scream of that woman, as the coffin just comes out of the gate... it makes my hair in the neck... like an animal which would be wounded..

  • yeah, i remember the screaming woman; it's called attention-seeking.....

  • @porkandbeans1991 Maybe not....some people really do freak when they see a casket of someone they loved/admired. It makes it more real when you see that. Trust me. Been there...

  • Where were you?

  • It's been 12 years, yet still seems like yesterday. I'll never forget the enormous amount of flowers laid in Hyde Park. Still in the nation's hearts, and will never be forgotten.

  • 2 ppl who really deserve peace.....Princess Diana and Michael Jackson. The media really messed up their lives and i wish them peace and happiness wherever they are

  • don't compare diana to that freak, she helped people and MJ was a drug addict

  • Michael jackson holds the record for most charities donated to with over 40 and he raised over £300 million for charity and the 2 were good friends so i doubt she would appreciate you calling him a drug addict

  • @stevietsuvideos How were they good friends? Diana and Michael met only on two or three occasions, according to her butler. Does that make the two good friends?

  • MJ gave $300 million to charity... he helped as many if not more people than Lady Diana in his career peak and through the late 90's and early 00's.

  • @mjgc8755 Let's not compare. They both used their positions to help those less fortunate than them. They did it not b/c they had to, but b/c they wanted to.

  • @mjgc8755 It's not about who gave the most money, it's about them wanting to help people who were in need. Helping people is not a competition or who gave the most.

  • @xane1990 don't even go there by putting M jackson on the same plinth as the Princess of Wales. Diana was Royalty and died in a horrific car accident. Jacko was a popstar.

  • @xane1990 I totally agree with you! May their souls rest in perfect peace!

  • gosh that must have been a long funeral especially for her family and friends i would have been sick

  • Such a beautiful and inspirational woman

  • I to haven't seen this since i watched that day. I was never a big fan but out of respect i did & to this day i will never forget the shrieks when that coffin came out. It took me by surprise & indeed was a very moving moment, of which i don't think many other persons in the public eye in my lifetime will replicate.

  • A Very Special Day For me! i Started walking on this day!!!

  • @AiimeeJaneex: What do you mean by this? Could you please explain it because I don´t understand what you are saying here

  • who knows...Maybe lady Diana as well as Michael Jackson are both alive and well somewhere..IF so is the case, good!!

I really like to think so..

Some people have to stage their own death in order to ..well..LIVE..Truly live in peace.

    So..

rest in peace..dead or alive ;-)

  • ya i was thinkin da same thing cause dey neva showed his body at da funeral

  • this is sooo sad!

  • was 4 when this was broadcast!

Strange that i didn't cry during this, but cried during Schindler's list!

  • I don't know how i stumbled upon this, but i'll never forget those cries of grief as the coffin emerged from the gates of Kensington palace. This is the first time i've watched this footage since it was broadcast, nigh on 12 years ago now.

  • what ever even diana knew and thought she would be murdered it seems like no one wants to defend her poor lady! they just want to defend the royal family thats what it feels like here.

  • It's not a matter of defending anyone; it's a matter of evidence and facts and these have been established through exhaustive inquiries in France and England and a very expensive inquest have all shown that those attacking not only the royal family but close friends of Diana and her sister and sons are speaking complete fabricated nonsense when they persistently claim she was murdered in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

  • Conspiracy theorists love to come with BS so long as they can implicate the government in anything (or even claim the Illuminati was behind it).

  • @tribecatom THANK YOU! All morality aside, royalty wouldve never had anything to with murder for practical reasons. The risks would have been to great, & Diana was self destructing on her own fast enough. Ive always thought of the reactions to the death of Queen Victoria vs. the death of Diana as book-ends of the 20th century Britain - Victoria (d. 1901) was honored for devotion to duty, while Diana (1997), for devotion to personal happiness, no matter the cost, a very modern-day value :(

  • @xbritishgirlx When the royal family thinks about who should actually succeed Elizabeth II, they should remember that Diana's funeral in September, 1997, is the most watched televised even in the history of television, more than the Obama inauguration, more than any World Cup final, more than Michael Jackson's funeral or the Pope's. 2.5 billion people watched this funeral live! That is how much this lady was loved. For the sake of the monarchy, it must be William V.

  • @xbritishgirlx She wasn't murdered you silly person! She was in a car driven by a drunk who was driving too fast. If she was murdered how come Trevor Jones survived? He survived as Diana, Dodi and Henri Paul would have if they had PUT ON THEIR SEAT BELTS.

  • did john travolta go ?

  • He was presumably too busy spending his Saturday morning flying his Boeing 707 to a scientologist brainwashing ceremony that'll cure your dyslexia too. The "church" of scientology had its #1 poster boy and couch jumper, Tom Cruise, as its delegate to the Funeral. He had Nicole Kidman, also known as his ex-wife, along too.

  • @tribecatom Not to mention Stephen Speilberg

  • I Love you Diana! You were my Queen of hearts and still are!

  • the commentator is really ennoying

    we know whats going on....lol

  • OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD

  • Diana obsessives, get a life; or at the very least, a hobby...

  • Isn't Diana a hobby?

  • @LostProphet1776

whats ur point? how is watching a video obsessive? oh ur account is closed.lol oh well

  • @LostProphet1776 why does it bother you?

  • @LostProphet1776 Lol I find it funny that you are telling us to get life's when you obviously don't have you.

  • It has been 12 years ....

  • Well 11 and a half.... I was outside Ken Palace for the 10th anniversary.

  • Did Bill Clinton go to the funeral?

  • No, he sent Hillary as his deputy. Shame, I think Bill and Diana have a lot in common in terms of their sad childhoods, common touch and compassion, especially for AIDS sufferers. It was said at the Inquest that Diana had spoken to Bill and Hillary about coming to live in their country but decided against it once she was in her relationship with Hasnat Khan, a prominent Muslim surgeon she considered marrying.

  • From what I have learned, there was a memorial service held at the Washington National Cathedral for Diana on the same day as the funeral so chances are Bill might have attended that. But I would have prefered if the American congrigation of the Funeral were bigger with the living US presidents and first ladies at the time in attendence at Westminster Abbey. If you don't mind my saying so.

  • i wonder why richard tomlinson's account didnt make national headlines. and why henri paul didn't crash until he was inside the tunnel?.. what about the motorbikes that witnesses saw tearing out of the tunnel? if paul was drunk then rees jones would not have allowed diana to travel in the car. fact is he wasnt drunk hence no swerving. (drunk drivers are usually obvious) .

  • I know because respected expects gave evidence under oath about it. Of course you'll argue that alcohol affects everyone exactly the same way. Two witnesses (the barman who served him 2 ricards and a pappazzi driver with an alcoholic father) both testified he looked drunk and they'd more likely know what a drunk person looks like. Tomlinson didn't make national headlines because he's a self-publicist and it's obvious he's lying. Motorbikes or not, it's clear it was an accident.

  • people lie under oath. tomlinson a self publicist? i'd never heard of him before the murder. and it doesnt matter how much you discredit the messenger.. you have a duty to read his statement through. the whole enquiry was an MI5 job in my opinion. murder by strobe gun. i'll check your links cheers.

  • He was writing a self-serving book before the *accident* which I have examined and the changes he made to it in late 1997 revealed him to be a liar. I would think MI5 (or MI6) have better things to do, such as protecting the public, than going to ridiculous lengths to cover up something that didn't happen. The strobe gun accuser is a French petty criminal who, like Tomlinson, enjoys getting himself on TV. Stop believing in nonsense. You should watch the documentary I have featured on my channel.

  • there you go,unfortunately its not enough to discredit people. Tomlinsons 'self serving' book is neither here nor there. The facts in his court statement needed deeper investigation. there was no sign of any untoward driving before Diana's car entered the tunnel. Trevor would never have allowed them to pull from the kerb if Henri Paul was pissed. its that simple. motorbikes or not? who were they? And why didnt they stop to give names and statements?

  • He gave a statement to the French Judge, the British police and gave evidence at the inquest. Detectives were even granted unprecedented access to the MI6 building to investigate his claims and they were all found to be embellished. There was nothing untoward about the driving of the Mercedes apart from it was at twice the speed limit, so fast it could not safely negotiate the bend into the tunnel. I suppose MI6 tied a brick to the accelerator too.

  • detectives? unprecedented access? where you there or something? do you not know what a cover up is...? and twice the normal speed limit? is there any footage of this? we also know the car was switched at the last moment. why would trevor let diana sit in with a pissed driver tearing around at twice the normal speed limit? it doesn't make sense. MI6 brick nah. M16 stobe gun plot. yep. was remote controlled technology used to disable the brakes? i wouldnt put it passed them.

  • Strobe Gun Plot? Remote Controlled Technology used to disable the brakes?

Where you there or something? Is there any footage of this? Do you not know what a cover up isn't?

We do know the speed of the car at the point of impact was 63 to 65 mph (in a 30mph zone) from Transport Research Lab tests on similar 1994 Mercedes S280s. Trevor didn't know he was pissed. Only thing was once King Fayed said it was OK to go with a habitual drunk as a driver, they'd lose their jobs if they spoke up.

  • if henri paul was so pissed up why did trevor let her get in the motor?..and how come the car wasn't swerving all over the place before it crashed?..his driving was deemed fine by rees jones otherwise he would of stopped the journey. that was his job. MINDER.

  • There was no conspiracy. Trevor Rees did the best he could to protect the Princess, he would have stopped Henro Paul from driving if he appeared drunk. Shame it was Dodi's idea to have Diana driven by a Ritz employee known to be a habitual drinker who had built up a tolerance to alcohol.

  • that doesnt explain why the car wasn't swerving before it entered the tunnel. and why nobody saw henri paul staggering as he walked. it also doesnt explain the motor bike that roared out of the tunnel after the crash. Also, who took that final photo? the one where trevor is shielding his eyes.

  • It doesn't have to be swerving to be driven by a drunk driver. Nor does a drunk man necessariy swagger. As I said, Paul had built up a tolerance for alcohol so he could drink more than most without it showing so readily. That "final photo" was taken by papparazzo Jacques Langevin as the car was about to depart the back of the Ritz. He was shielding his eyes from the photographers' flashes. Check the Inquest website for the photos Langevin took.

  • inquest? i dont think so. how do you know paul had built up a tolerance to alcohol? did you know him? or are you just quoting the inquest? and why did trevor say to his housekeeper several years later that if he told what he knew he'd be killed? btw a drunk man is a drunk man.. its quite easy to tell one when you see one. the final photo was taken in the tunnel.

  • Trevor has always denied saying that and it's obvious Fayed got the housekeeper (who was working for him, not Trevor) to say it. Why always believe what a corrupt and selfish billionaire says? I've put links to undeniable evidence about the photo in the description, including a link to another set of photos showing Trevor sheidling his eyes but taken from the side of the car.

  • why did the car suddenly go out of control when they got in the tunnel?.. why no brakes? what was the bright flash that everybody down there saw? and why have those mystery bikers not been found and named? dont tell me what to believe. henri paul negotiated every bend perfectly, (until he was in the tunnel).

  • It's obvious you've only read the facrications to support the conspiracy theories: never mind 3 year police investigations, 2 year judicial inquiries or a 6 month inquest.

Photos of the scene show the crashed car with its brake lights on (links in description) Only Levistre claimed to see a bright flash and he saw it in between his spells in French prisons. Let's just waste another 12 million of public money and the time of countless police officers just to put your mind at rest shall we?

  • I would think the six horses are thinking:

"This is why you should have a designated driver."

"Henri Paul ingesting that much champagne...no qualifications whatsoever to drive Dodi and Diana."

"Exactly. I mean, who was daft enough to bloody hire him!?"

"If they had a different sober one doing the chaffeur work I don't think we'd have to do this."

"Rightly so. And I would believe she'd be alive long enough to reconcile with Charles and live to tell about it."

    "Absolutely right."

  • she died in a real bad car accident

  • God Save Camilla

  • Camilla is the poor saint.

She will forever stand in the shadow of the Welsh princess.

  • Camilla is no saint she is the devil incarnate. Anyone with any decency would have nothing to do with THE OTHER WOMAN that chose to say NO and had an affair with a married man

  • I know/knew the royal couple, and I served.

17 years Service. I cried, people laughed.

I'm in this video. But you won't see me.

Service means what it says. we Serve.
