@ShawDAMAN when you think about the fact that when go to the grocery store and dariy and pourtry are in the same area in the back of the store you might confuse them ummm.
Thanx again to crephanger47 for posting this example of what made WML great.
This amusing clip illustrates how crucial definitions could be in WML( 4:00 )( 4:48 ). Eggs are a funny product anyway, but Daly's reaction at ( 4:23 ) is not the last time he reacted negatively to a question about what could go on or with a food product. in 1959, when Dorothy asked a pickle packer if his vegetable product could be served with melted butter, Daly almost had to leave the stage.
This is my husband's uncle. I was so exited to find it and send it to him and his brother and sister. They really thought it was neat.

I love how much the audience laugh... back then you didn't have to be rude or vulgar to get a good laugh!!

LOL Dorothy "but it's a dairy product." UMM.... she could be a little, er, slow sometimes. Hilarious :P
ShawDAMAN 2 years ago
Well, at this time, maybe, but in a later show, eggs are dairy products.

@ShawDAMAN Honestly I think of eggs as dairy sometimes b/c we used to get them from the milkman when young. Dorothy is a sharp cookie really.

@calalilygirl yeah she was smart. that was just funny. good point about the milkman.

I never like it when it's just complete silence when a nobody comes on the show.

haaaaaaaaaaahaha I have watched this about 4 times in a row...
DOROTHY: "But that's a dairy product!"
JOHN: "Dairy products come out of cows actually.."
ARLENE: "You haven't seen an egg come out of a cow in I don't know how long"
One of the funniest segments I've seen. I love the mystery guests, but somehow the everyday workers are always funnier lol
Thank you so much for sharing once again, you should get a special YouTube WML Appreciation award!

LOL I completely agree!! I love this segment :)

I agree: the non-celebrities are often even more fun. Plus, I sort of like the spirit of it -- celebrating what regular people do.

@rosaf19 I know and sad these individual occupations are nonexistent nowadays.
