  • h22 is not better than k20. if anyone knows their shit about hondas like they say they do then they would know that. h22 powerband is way to short to keep up with k20...also k20's vtec advances timing as it climbs up the rpm, h22 doesnt....learn something!

  • @vtecnegro85 I agree and disagree...I agree because H22 does have super short powerband naturally,,,However...With the right cylinder head setup that can change drastically....If you ask me FUK K series and H series....B series is cheapest for the power

Y would they call it a k24(k2.4) if its a 2.0 liter??????????? its a 2.4 bottom end with a 2.0 head, or some people just take the internals of the head out of the 2liter head and put them in the 2.4liter head, cause thats pretty much the only diff.

  • Taking what out of what head and putting it into the K24? The only reason for putting any thing into a K24 head is if your making a non K24a2 into a vtec killer setup since they dont have true iVTEC. The K24a2 head and the K20a2 yeah are almost identical.

  • @raidacaipo your wrong. k20a2s with bolt ons make around 220-230 NO h22 breaks 200 horses with just "slight mods" ive seen h22's with s2pro2's and mild port and polishe make what a stock k20 with i/h/e and kpro make (220-230)

  • lol are you serious? they only make around 205-210 with bolts on.. every K swap civic have I/H/E because its mandatory. They dont usually use stock parts to make the swap work. Including fuel rail, header etc.. Im talking about h2b not h22.. a stock h2b with stock headers modified will make at least 200whp and more torque than the a2.. torque is everything man. Thats why many gut their cars out so it pulls.. you can get a h22 type S motor, go h2b, tune it and get more than 220hp 171tq!

  • Do you actually own a h2b or a k20a2 swap? if not then dont talk.. I own a h2b and my friend drives a a2 where which we use back and forth to go the gym everyday. We always switch cars so I know what Im talking about.. stock a2 my ass.. that shit probably has a RBC manifold, rmf headers or rcrew headers and a $1000 kpro.. which all adds up to about $8-10k. and horsepower isnt everything man. You should already know that if you drove a honda.

  • what facts are you stating? just cuz you know a local guy from the internet or something? lol a tsx stock header and type R ecu will not make 220-30hp so thats bullshit.. youll be lucky if you can even make 200whp with those stock mods.. an h2b can make 200whp with just a B tranny and stock mods and a s300 tune or chrome.. and it cost 3 times less... thats why they call it the k killer.. and it has more options for tuning such as RBC manifold using a QSD adapter plate. learn some facts about h2b

    K Killer??? a turbo d-series turbo can be called a k-killer as well. if you guys want to talk about dollar/hp...d-series turbo is the way to go...get rid of all your n/a builds...We all know that n/a builds aint cheap...gotta pay to play...

  • Im done trying to educate you.. a K series is nice but for the price? hell no... youll learn one day if you decide to get one or the other.. I personally would get a jdm k20a or k24a2 if I had the money. But in the meantime my h2b is more powerful than a k20a2 with less the cost.. Case CLOSED!

  • Wait so a tranny dont make a difference? have you ever tried racing a b18c type R motor with an ls tranny? Same thing with an h22 and its stock transmission. This is why the h2b is popular because the h22 is a stronger engine than the k20a2's and the B series transmission is better than the K and the H. The B series transmission is probably the best transmission made by honda and many would agree with me. So a B series tranny mated with an H engine makes a huge difference.

  • @562daybid it does make a difference but does not INCREASE power, no h22 is stronger than any k's k20s can withstand alot alot more than h22's h22's have shitty ass sleeves there for they are weaker. k's are able to withstand up to 650+ stock blocks. k20s are more advanced in each way. they are chain driven they have VTC better gearing 6 speed tranny great with bolt ons the h22 is in inferior and is using 20 year old technology it is a dead end motor.

  • but we are talking street build here and money. Isnt that what you and raidacapo was arguing about? any motor can make power but it takes money. In the case of the K20a2, the h2b can outperform it, give more torque, and have more potential which cost less. Even the h22a euro R out performs the jdm k20a R. Imagine you take that stock h22a euro R and mate it with a b18c type R transmission. You have yourself a beast with half the cost of the jdm k20a and with more torque!

  • wow you really are quiet ignorant. h2b is a budget build. My whole argument is that you can gain K performance or greater with the h2b which cost less. Your whole argument was that h2b sucks and with minor bolts ons, it cannot achieve 200whp. You are wrong my friend. Shops who professionally race at the tracks have money to sponsor a built k20, k24. Why would they waste it on a h22 if they can build watever they want? K's are nice but for the price and power, Nope. h2b ftw for street guys.

  • look up all the h2b videos on youtube of it being on a dyno. Just bolts ons and a tune and you get 200 or more whp. Why dont you get your head out of your ass and do some research. I've done mines and I know both sides of the story. K vs H. If you want stock vs stock. Take a h22a type S or euro R engine and mate it with a civic or integra type R tranny. 220hp stock and 163tq at 2.2 liters and you think it wont break 200whp with a B tranny and a tune in a civic? lol your crazy.

  • Did you know that the sleeves used in the H motors (FRM) or Fiber reinforced metal are also the same used in the nsx 3.2 liter motors? Also the sleeves were used because honda did not intend to bore out or use it for boost applications. therefore the sleeves are pretty strong alone for n/a applications. With the reinforcement the sleeves generate lower friction than traditional iron liners, which translates to improved revolutions, power and reduced wear. So the h22 dont have "shitty sleeves"

  • trust me.. I have an h2b motor with just header and exhaust. The manifold is still stock and I still pull on my friends eg k20a2 tuned on K pro.. Dont believe me? I dont care.. just go and drive one for yourself then you will see.. however I dont doubt the jdm k20a motors or the k24a2 tuned with type S tranny and head... those motors are beast!! why? because they push out so much torque.. the k20a 2.0 liter pushes out the same amount of torque as the jdm h22 2.2 liters.. thats crazy
