I think Alice only showed up because she saw the victory, otherwise she wouldn´t has let Aro enslave her. Moreover, the Cullens Allieance had the upper hand in gifts and in numbers. I think Aro walked away precisely because of that, he saw he would loose. And accordingly to fan´s guide, just to tear a vampire apart ou burn for a few seconds isn´t necessary. You mend it and feed them with blood. So the losses in the Cullens Carlysle could ''treat'' them back to live.

I'm not going to knock the books at all, because I absolutely love them. With that being said, I will say that I would've anticipated a better fight. I would have been devastated if any of the Cullens or wolves had died. However, I really thought she could have made it a lot more dramatic, but maybe she got tired of it and just wanted to put an end to the saga? Who knows! I think that in the movie they will definitely play it up more. Thanks for commenting!

I think that, if it would break into a fight, the Joint Forces of the Cullens, the Denalis (more Garret) , the Amazons, the Romanians, Benjamin and Tia, and maybe the Irish, more the wolfes would have crushed the Volturi guard and it would force the Ancients to surrender. What do you think?

@alonelychild sm has said on her website for the bd faq's that a lot of people would have died (volturi & cullen) if it came to a real fight. and so she decided to have the last fight be a mental one. I don't know if Alice could have seen a victory w/the wolves & nessie blocking her sight. you can go to her site & read for yourself. she has a lot of great stuff on there.

Alice can see the future. Edward can hear everybody thoughts. Zafira could blind them all. And Benjamin could make strong winds, earthquakes, fire lassos, etc...

Emmet is pretty strong, Jasper has combat experience, so does Eleazar and Carlysle. Together, Cullens and Denalis, there 12, plus 5 friends who would fight, 5 that maybe, besides Zahuel and his aunt. Plus 16 wolfes. 32 volturi less 5 (Aro, Caius, Marcus and wifes), less Jane, Alec and Renata who don´t fight.
