You guys should watch the video I did for Broadcast's "Lunch Hour Pops": watch?v=AyIf8Uk_fZU
If there's anything that will go well together its Trish Keenan and The Red Balloon. I did a tribute in memory of the beautiful and most amazingly Trish after her passing.
well done, top video...why should a video have a narrative? critique is useless if the people criticising don't know a thing, and take it from me, 95% of the people on the planet haven't got a clue...you are an artist, and this is excellent!
I seriously thought you managed to get Trish Keenan for this vid! I also liked how you made the film more an abstract visual work than a representational presentation. Considering the anti-war theme of the song, you didn't go the hackneyed route of splicing a bunch of Army filmclips in there. The models look to be dressed in military chic, but the lighting and film quality really tone that down, so it's subtle. Really great!
ummm, not much, just think the faces and walking about miming gets a bit repetative, you know>? like if i was directing i would have stuck a few scenes of robots and cyborgs and telephones in there, anything to break it up a bit, meh i dunno ;)
I'd of put city shots. Maybe a busy corner sped up. Possibly feet walking, shot from the waist down. Several different locations. I liked it though, pretty good man.
@DJTechWizard I see his point -- there's not much narrative behind the video. Thematically it works really well, though, and with quality cinematography for the most part. But it doesn't really go anywhere.
Oui s'il vous plait! Bravo!
