i live a block from there and believe me they not supposed to do this things to a woman i am very surprised...no body said that you can't take picture in the street they don't own the street nither the neighborhood... you should report this incident to the authority you have proof...

Like you say that you have a right to take pictures it's a public street, they also have a right to follow their customs on a public street. The law, police didn't prohibit them from practicing their customs, why do you want to force your personal beliefs on them?
