  • I have this car. Even now it is still as good as new.

  • Ditch the HIA and go with a FWI. your HIA is actually hurting your performance. by HIA i mean Hot Air Intake. and by Hot Air Intake i mean that K&N you got exposed to your engine heat.

  • Your supercharger seems to not be turning at a frequent speed my friend ; maybe it has something to do about audio compression or something though

  • my dad had a black 1999 SSEI (3800 Series 2 V6 240 Supercharged) with all of the options in it.... i loved it, to bad he had to sell it before i could drive it :(

  • I`m thinking of getting a grey 92 SSEi. I read that car and driver only achieved a 16.9 quarter mile time for that specific model year. Yours is quite a bit faster at 15.2 then.

  • Very nice! I might buy a grey 92 SSEi. I saw one with around 30000 miles like new for roughly $4000.

  • Gotta love the headup display or what ever they call it lol

  • By no means a speed demon, but she runs nice and she's clean. Nice ride!

  • what time are you making in the 1/4 mile?

  • what does WOT mean?

  • WOT means Wide open throttle.

  • ohh thanks

  • No prob.

  • the only reason that is true is cuz he doesnt hav 1 haha jus letin yuh kno

  • are you serious? not everyone has 50+ grand to spend on a car. and the n/a supras are junk lol, dont underestimate these 3800's man their no joke.

  • CAKE!!! Nice Car! I'm thinking of buying an old SSEi

  • i love my boat

  • Anybody here know how to remove the governor?

  • NICE I just got a 1996 SSEi with 100K miles. It has every option but the leather but I don't like leather anyway. Its just as clean os yours. Mine is Black on black with the same wheels as yours but they are polished aluminum with black cross lase. <---- spelled that wrong

  • Sounds strong!!!!

  • i have a 99 ssei, im prolly gonna invest in a 3.4 sp pulley, to get some extra power, and cold air intake. stock mine ran a 14.45, actually i have aftermarket wheels, but no diff.

  • That car is about similar in quickness to my dad's '01 Seville SLS with quite a bit more horsepower (275 horses and 300 torque). Although, the Seville weighs a few hundred pounds more. Although ultimately, the SLS IS a little quicker, with a higher top speed capability.

  • I'm having a muffler problem. I own a 1993 pontiac bonneville ssei, it looks like it has a dual exhaust, but when you look at it, i'm pretty sure it has some sort of "cross-flow" system. i was going for Flowmaster, but i'm not sure now. what should i do? And I'm interested in buying a k&n air filter, but they don't make them for my car?

  • im too sure about the bonnevilles but you should be fine going with the flow master.

  • I ended up going with the flopro, half the price, same exact design and sound. fit pretty good too, it ended up sounding okay, i just need to find someone that will take my cat off and put a pipe there. i ended up finding my k&n as well.

  • sounds cool, i would have made the same move most likely. v6 or v8?

  • v6 3800 supercharged. Decent engine, lots of miles though. i'm around 186,000 now.

  • oh ok.

  • forgot to say, someone just donated a black Bonneville to my shop. its a 1994 i think, same type engine(not supercharged).

  • what does your shop plan on doing to it?

I just got my cat taken off last night. sounds even better. are there anymore more cheap improvements that anyone knows of?

  • the firebird and the bonneville were the 2 best pontiacs around also the grand prix is cool but i hate that they discountinued the firebird and bonneville makes me sad:(

  • i know what u mean man ive had 3 diff bonnevilles all where nice cars but my its hard to pick between my 77 and my 93 on my fav 77 was fast but at 7 mpg in town it was a pain 93 was just a fun car all the way around. ethire way nice cars. and i case u where wondering the other one i had was an 88 was pos had it 3 days and the motor went.

  • For all i give a shit about theres a regular 3.8 version and a supercharged 3.8 version, who gives a shit bout the fancy lettering car companys put after the model of the car

  • WTF was that noice i have a 97, never heard that before, my baby is smooithed running

  • supercharger mine 93 ssei did that

  • ok dude, you find a 1998 <--- and i quote 1998pontiac bonneville SLE, and make a video of it and i want to see it, because i have never seen a 1998 bville SLE.

  • ive got a 98 SLE not supercharged but i must say it loves to cruise at 70 lol

  • ok seriously, PONTIAC DIDN'T MAKE A 1998 BONNEVILLE SLE!!!!! how many times do i have to type it..ugh!.... The only trims that pontiac made for the bonneville in 1998 are SE and SSE, SLE didn't come out until the year 2000. thank you and good night !

  • VERY wrong. The SLE package was first offered in 1993, as the RPO "H4U". The Bonneville didn't get the actual badge until 1998, and in 1998, the SLE also got the SSE/SSEi bumpers and door trim.

The CORRECT trims are SE/SLE/SSE and SSEi.

  • lol wow im sure it was important to tell this guys he wrong right...watta dick

  • actually he was right, like after i typed all that stuff i ended up seeing a 98 SLE so whatever.. lol

  • ILoveSpeakers123, GM never made an aluminum block 3.8. In fact, the 3.8 has only ever had cast iron block and heads...

In fact, the only major aluminum parts were the lower intake manifold, trans case, and the S/C. Some other parts like the water pump got aluminum cases, but never the block or head.

  • that is intense

  • if thats snow in the fields this vid shouldnt even have been made man bonivilles are dope

  • Ya i just got mine its a 1993 SSE supercharged...now this SSE was a Custem Odderd so unlike the normal SSE's This One Has The Electronic Air Bag Suspension,Supercharger,Aluminum 3.8 Motor,Dule Exhaust, and The Normal Shift and Performance Shift buttens and cant for get about the Bose 8 speaker sound system...there are more fetures but i dont feel like nameing them all

  • dang man, not too bad. i love my bonnie and have somehow smoked a lotta people!!! its a tight car

  • i have the EXACT car,ive buried the speedometer which goes up to 130,my est would be 145

  • i have a 98 bonneville ssei supercharged... it doesnt shut off at 90 though haha

  • I have a 93 sse and it doesnt cut out at 90 ive had it up to a buck 15. good power and it get killer gas milage. I have a spare supercharger for sale.

  • What motor does this have in it? 3800 Series I?

  • Yeah. The 92-95 SSEis had the Series I L67. 92/93 made 205hp/260tq@2600rpms, and the 94/95 made 225hp/275tq@3200rpms. These are the numbers from the factory, but I think they were a little more than what GM says they were.

  • you have a pretty sweet bonneville though

  • Apparently someone doesnt know what supercharger whine is. and you have one.

  • You sir are a persistent idiot. Ever pull apart a Eaton "Roots type" supercharger? They have STRAIGHT CUT gears. Straight cut gears WHINE at HIGH SPEEDS. How do I know this? I work for a company that MANUFACTURES AND DESIGNS gears for superchargers. I suggest you do thorough research before correcting somebody that was already correct.

  • Thats a different whine, not a comprssed air whine

  • Since when does compressed air whine? What you are hearing in the supercharger is the straight cut gears.

  • Have you ever tryed to whistle smart one?

Thats compressed air! Those gears in the s/c are spinning at a maximum speed 0f 40,000 rpm. The air being thrown into the cumbustion chamer whines as it exits.

  • Sorry... but you are way off. have you ever heard straight cut gears spinning at high speeds? They whine, hence why transmission gears are cut at an angle.

  • LOL, compressed air...thats a good one. the sound you are hearing is mostly the gears spinning at 16,800 RPM, equiped with a 2.3" Pulley, rougly calculated from the redline of the 92-93 Series One cars around 5600RPM.

  • @sseiyah

I had that exact same whine and I needed new gears in the supercharger, they were shot! Trust me, you will see!! And my 95 SSEi was the biggest piece of shit, everything kept breaking. and I mean everything! Now I bought a new Lexus IS 250 and wont ever buy north american again. And a new Nissan for my wife, It was fun when i first got the SSEi but I wish that I would have bought a Civic or Corolla.

  • @galaxiedance go fuck yourself commy i got a ninety six ssei it does two forty km and i would never buy forein junk i would rather support my peoples auto industry your grand father would be so disapointed in you , buy forein thats what hitler would have wanted

  • @galaxiedance You have no idea what you are talking about at all. New gears in the supercharger....Dumb man, really dumb. That whine is the supercharger. Any supercharged car makes the same whine. Check it out for yourself.

  • @sseiyah yeah that guy knows what he`s talking about obviously. yeah you prob put an AIR COMPRESSOR ON YOUR FUCKING FRONT SEAT. nice car bro.

  • lol a SE doing the same thing?! S U P E R C H A R G E R BUDDDY! Does your SE whine? NO!

  • yes mine does but mechanic said it was power stering pump

  • funny my brothers car is a 95 with thie series 2, the body style changed in 96, i have a 98

  • these cars are the best, once you drive one you never want to drive another car again, it handles and rides like a true sports car! my dad has a 95 ssei, he refuses to sell it to me...

  • ahhh, the potato mobile. nice vid hans.

  • the best cars ever made

  • does the speedometer really show up on the windsheild? I thought that was cool!

  • Same here. My '94 SSEi ran a 14.9 stock with no mods. For a large car, they are no slouch.

  • sseiyah bonneville ssei 3675 curb weight 2000 pontiac GTP 3466 curb weight. 200 pound difference is a losss of .25 in the quarter mile time.

  • My '93 SSEi ran 15.1, completley stock, 114K miles. Still much faster then my '00 SLE, normally aspiraed series II, same HP. See my car domain page , screen name- tjnappy.

  • Gm supercharged v6..nothin better

  • Yep 2.3" pulley. the car is capable of high 14s at sea level, At 4000 feet its a good second slower. Stock 93s have 205HP vs 97+ of 240HP. Stock the 92/93 SSEis will run high 15s or Low 16s. The car is not a race car its a good daily driver that has a little more power than most 4 door sedans out there.

  • @sseiyah oh and btw its 96 a newer that have 240 plus horse not 97 plus and i still have 2 say there is no way that is a high 14 car. mine has a 3.5 pulley and intake and runs 14.8.

  • 2.3'' supercharger pulley? Either that is a typo or you are a liar. Even if you meant 3.3'' pulley, your motor wont be around long.

  • A stock pulley on a 93 SSEi is 2.55". Newer gen 3800's pullies are 3+ inches. So it was neither a typo or a lie.

  • Oh, how I love the whine of the M62.

  • cool video! and thanks for sharing!
