Among all the supposed original Filipino Martial Arts only Yao yan and Eskrima Arnis seems to have distinctive move that is very different from Japanese Karate and Chinese Kungfu and Judo. Kontao looks like Karate as well. Yao yan fights in the ring like Kick boxers but their hand style off the ring is unique from the other arts.
@TheAdiksanet envy on what.. and for what!? the Banaag Brothers are all in the US now and contineously doing their training of SIKARAN, competing in different martial arts and winning and take note all of them are HALL OF FAME AWARDEES. you've probably see some of their fights and for sure it is way ahead from the WSABP fighters. Do you how much money is that? that they are not getting now? well, theres nothing wrong by paying registrations to the Mother Organization BUT i think it is their duty to ensure that they gonna maintain the activities of SIKARAN by conducting tournaments and events. now, tell me.. when is the date ever that the WSABP conducted a tournament that fund comes out from the organization???????
Geronimo was so mad to Mr. Banaag because during Mr Banaag's time in WSBAP he is the Bread Winner of the Orginazations. He had 19 Chapter of SIKARAN-ARNIS GYM, not including his private tutorial, 3 unit of military in Fort Bonifacio(Honor Guard, TraCOM and Light Armor Brigade). Mr Banaag conducting annual Seminars from new blackbelters and new recruit, he had a almost twice a year competition.
Geronimo was claiming that he inherit his SIKARAN from his father.. listen to what he said from the beginningof this video ' mga magsasaka at matatanda'. He never ever mention anything about his father because his father never been a SIKARAN PRACTITIONER. Guys come on.. do not fool anybody this is just a hear say proof from him. I know you guys are trying to insists Geronimo's knowledge and origin of Sikaran but the question is How is his WSBAP NOW? Where is his GYM?
