Gosh, thanks for this tutorial! I've been playing this game like a dork all along because I couldn't figure out which buttons were used for locking on. I thought the thumb buttons were just for the communication selections.
@stevethefishdotnet well they've updated the machines since the video. They added these two buttons to the thumb joystick. They are for communication selection or for using the headset to voice your commands instead of thumbing up
Had toonami have never been canceled and Gundam was still aired like it was for our generation they would totally send some of those here but since Gundam has died with our generation over in the west well we will never have this golden game....but we get these dumb ass cartoons now....stupid ass cartoons T__T
@ominae55 dude i know this question may sound stupid but if you're going to create a pilot card can we insert the coins immdeitately or wait until the machines asks you to do so? im just worried bcuz i might loose my data in my card
@jdemon When creating your pilot card, You wait until the machine asks you to put in your coins. In other words once you are done editing your name and such you don't lose money if you make a mistake and want to start over. Each card can be used 100 times after that when you insert your card into the pilot terminal it will prompt you to enter 100yen to get a new card with all your updated data. I came back to japan after 2 years and was still able to use my card
@critanime Never. Arcade gaming is still huge in Japan as well as a huge gundam fan base. The west has neither, so there is no possibility it will make it's way over.
@FLCLimax7 dude ur riding in a freaking robot and u get so much hi tech shit il give 20 bucks to play it i goota go to japan damm why do the japenese get all the good shit!!
@masternegi2 They've since lowered the prices on the gameplay. at my arcade its 300 yen now instead of 500. The gameplay has changed a bit too. They now have different event games such as capture and hold 3 points. A new ranking system has been implemented. And you can now use extra buttons on the main joysticks to use voice commands in the game.
Sadly the Minovsky particle info is too big to put here but i will give u the link =P gundamofficial(dot)com/worlds/ uc/background/glossary_technol ogy.html#minovskyparticle
and we do have some arcades here in America =P
Just to name a few Gamesworks and Dave & Busters
but you would not beleave how many people over here would play this! they would have to make it doubled the amount of possable players since there would be so many people lined up around the building & back. =P
if this ever comes to america (which it may never come) when you are playing as the federation, what is the most balanced type of gundam? is it a fighter?
Excellent video guide, I'll add this to the Cool Stuff In Japan Guide as soon as I sort out the database problem (I did receive your comment, I just can't approve it yet)!
Thanks for the comment. I realized I left out a few things but I tried to fit as much in as I could remember. I think your guide is great as well! Helped me out a lot when I first started a few months ago.
i hope they make this online..... and they can sell the sticks and pedals... and helmet

Love the design on the cab for this game. Kinda reminds me of the STARBLADE 2 ORBS cab.
Man it's a shame that game never made it.
Anyway does anyone know if this game will be making it's way west?

@critanime Never. Arcade gaming is still huge in Japan as well as a huge gundam fan base. The west has neither, so there is no possibility it will make it's way over.
