@jimi2142 I got there cd 'Revelator', and I can tell you their live show is SO much better. Not to put the CD down, but all the songs they play live are really upbeat, and you dont get Derek (and the rest of the band's) improvisational jams on the CD!!

She is a good singer at a pro level and at an ameteur level (that's where I would place her) I would rate her excellent. Can't sing in key, is that not important? Bonnie Raitte is excellent at a pro level. Most people on here are tone deaf non-musicians and wouldn't know the difference between Derek Trucks and a monkey playing drums. You see, Derek is excellent at a pro level and sounds just like Duane, only better. This is only my opinion as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. "The Bluesman"

The way he has incorporated other instruments and music styles with his own style has created a truly original sound; one that Duane could only dream of. Duane is a legend no doubt, but Derek is a living legend, one that continues to push the envelope, raise the bar, & set the trend. Genius.

Still, as long as Derek is really the focus point of the group's live shows, theirs no harm. It would be a shame to underplay the fact that greatest living musician in the world is leading this group. Revelator should win album of the year, bravo to Derek and Susan for a masterpiece, can't wait to see 'em this week!
