Good comment and let me say that having this wide flange H beam (W8 X 35#/ft.) Hot dip Galvanized would of been nice and added some life to the beam and the overall rigging system. However we are working within a budget and the beam was sized to provide much more section than was actually required to support the dead load of the dish across the span of the center hub. So a few years section loss in this beam is not going to adversely affect our rigging system.
I heard them say that everything would be galvanized. The I-beam looked like it had surface rust and it alse had raw untreated cuts. Are they not concerned with the beam decaying.
