hey man, i am a young EVH lover who is trying to find eddies tone, but im lacking the money to get all the EVH brand equipment like the 5150III or his flangers and phasers.. im playing out of a Randall RH-100 and i have a Bad Horsie Vai Wah Pedal with a digitech rp80.. Do you have any tips on how to get that EVH tone?

@YoufieProductions Good luck man, it won't take much to get his tone.... A little mids, some low end, Plate reverb... its hard for me to give you a tip, you have to keep listening & trying settings... I have a VOX 5 watt practice amp & I get the tone outta that...... so keep trying.... Remember one thing, Half the tone & sound is in your fingers & the way you attack the strings.............GW

You captured his tone really well and I realize some of it comes from the way EVH plays..so you have nailed that very well.

I bought a VH songbook but this song is not in there. Anyhow, have you got to meet any of the VH boys? I ran into Alex several times because his son was in my daughters class in Northridge, CA. Wayne Charvel and Eddie Van Halen never had a working relationship. Thats why there was never an Eddie and Charvel endorsement. The black and yellow striped guitar was a one time thing. Eddie never liked the sound of that black and yellow body.

Is it the angled one? I will probably send my Les Paul to warmoth and let replace the neck on it, I would just have them repair it, but this is the second time it's broke so I will just go ahead and replace. That's why I love strats becuase if something breaks normally it can be replaced without costing a great amount. I will have to Check out the wolf's to see if they are worth it. I hope so.
