Wayne Stinnett here. Saw your post on the EGHS Class of 77 facebook page some time ago, but was in a hurry and didn't follow up. Saw it again just now and came here. Your song is beautiful, Nancy, very touching, I'm wiping my eyes now. Lost my mom in 2000. The doctors at the nursing home had called us to her bedside a number of times and the last time, I thought it another false alarm and didn't go, because it was late on a weeknight. I miss her and dad and my little brother, every day.
Thank you Wayne. Glad I could be of some encouragement to you. Sorry to hear about your parents and your little brother. I can't even imagine what that would feel like.
Nancy, Jezebel here....just wanted to say I LOVE this song....actually a Tribute to your Mom.....lyrics, melody, your gorgeous voice - everything about it is so beautiful as was your Mom. She was very precious to me.....a great encouragement. She will be sorely missed by me and everyone else who had the pleasure of knowing her.
May God richly bless you, Nancy, my favorite teenager for all time!
Thank you so much. You just made my day. I'm at Tybee Island beach (alone) and was just thinking about mom, because Tybee Island was where we spent our last days at the beach together. Then I read your post and it brought tears to my eyes! :)
You are an amazing friend and I am glad that God has given us the opportunity to work together during this time in our lives. You are an inspiration to us all with a huge amount of talent. Thank you for sharing it with us and the world.
I don't know how it works in Heaven. But in my heart I know Betty can hear this. She always knew you had it in you. Beautiful song Nancy. Kudos and much love.
Nancy, I just talked to my mom. I am hoping she can figure out how to listen to this on her computer. As we talked, she told me what a special person your mom was to her, and that you were her "very favorite little teenager" in the youth group at Harbor City Baptist Church in Melbourne! (I wanted to ask her, what was I, chopped liver??) She always talks about how you called her "Jezebel!"
Your mom was such a special lady. I remember her well. I will always remember her contagious smile and glorious laugh! I am so thankful, Nancy, that you shared this beautiful song with me. I know my mom (Jahala Ratley) will love it, too. I am sharing it with her, too. She loved your mom so much!
Nancy!! That was amazing! What a precious song! Your mom was such a wonderful woman, she would be SO very proud of you, Nancy! What a blessing and inspiration you are to all of us.
What a beautful video in honor of mom! Nancy thank you for keeping the wonderful memories alive through the video! Mom is SMILING really BIG right now!
Mom, that is a beautiful video! You sound amazing and the words are perfect. Special thanks to Jerry for composing the music, I really like the arrangement. We miss you MomMom!... See you when we get there!
This song started out as a poem but blossomed into a song a few days later. I wrote it in memory of my mom who went into the hospital on Mother's Day (2009) and passed away three days later from COPD. She is spending her first Mother's Day with Jesus this year. Happy Mother's Day mom. We love you and we know that you're waiting on us!! Nancy Pooh
