I feel bad for Samuel, after all he just wanted to leave and yeah his bitch mother deserved that she was a murderer, and eventho she deserved it, you can see how sad and hurt he was for her death cuz he was good, they turned him crazy and Jacob made things worse cuz he was the responsible for turning his brother into the smoke monster!

if finally understand the wheel! The MIB tries to make the frozen donkey wheel, remember, from the finale of season four. The wheel that Ben uses to move the island and john later uses to 'fix' the island! He did make it after all, only in smokeys form though. But why is his mother so afraid? because she knows about the time skipping? Just as mom said, every answer leads to another question.

Man, these recaps are always so satisfying. They almost give me the answers i don't get from Lost. Almost.

I found it an odd but lovely twist that they revealed Jacob isn't the saint he had us believe to be in previous episodes/seasons. ALways so calm and smiling. In this ep he's hella confused and almost nuts.

His mom Claudia is pretty hot too :p

i think something we're missing is that the electromagnetism is actually the light, note the well MIB digs leads to a light source that looks like light, and thats also the energy we see through the island (wheel, hattch, etc...)

Do you find it interesting that MIB and Hurley both have the ability of seeing the dead?. This makes me worry a little for Hurley's future on the show. Also, it appears that being offered that wine is part of the ritual of becoming Jacob. Jacob offered Richard the wine when they first met. What does that mean?

sean the smoke monster is MIB after jacob throws him in. there was no smokey before that. thats what he meant by jacob stole his humanity and his body

@FinnKaiden No, the monster was always in the cave and released when MIB went in. Remember the fake mother said no one can go in, it is worse than death...worse than death being the smoke monster. Basically it took MIB's form and maybe his soul or just his memories. Just like with Locke.

No, she is definitely not the smoke monster. The smoke monster is MIB's soul, and did not exist until he was thrown into the "cave". There doesnt have to always be a Smoke Monster like there is a "protector" of the island.

The mother killed everybody at night, most likely by setting fire to the camp, thus all the burned bodies.
