Im a fender guy but Im gonna have to say the blacktop strats are so ugly doesnt look right, but the Teles look great, My strats need a friend and im thinking about going with the tele, tone on both is good but there selling more teles than anything which means they are only making mexicans to test the market they will probaly keep making the tele and drop the strat if things keep going this way.

@jinma2 I have a blacktop and it is beautiful. Sure it's not what you're used to looking at when looking at a strat, but for what it's worth it's worth every penny.

would you recommend the rosewood neck or this one and does anyone know the main difference? much appreciated :)

@ozzyblyth I don't even think they make "rosewood Necks" I'm sure you're talking about the fretboard. I've read that maple fretboards are "brighter" but I've never seen an accurate comparison. The only draw back i see from a maple fret board is the durability. A rosewood fretboard will out last a maple fretboard.

@PotentialFreedom There's a very clear sound difference. Rosewood tends to give a much darker tone which is what alot of people prefer.
