Todd was so "on his game" during this period (late 80s to early 90s) of his career! I love pretty much all of Todd's stuff, but I have to say that Nearly Human, Second Wind, and No World Order (even though very different from those other records) are just completely phenomenal records!!! That's not to take anything away from any of Todd's other works - I love it all!!! However, for me, Todd just took it up another notch on these albums.

I was completely unfamiliar with Todd Rundgren when I found No World Order on cassette at a thrift store selling for $1.00 in San Antonio, Texas, along with some other stuff. Together with a cassette by Bob James called Restless, it saw an enormous amount of play. I had never considered rap a legitimate art form, but Rundgren's musical talent and lyrical integrity convinced me otherwise. From the first track (alluding to a pandemic) to the last ("Fever Broke") it's a thematic whole.

Like the poster before me, I saw this concert in Memphis, Tn and folk went totally nuts when he belted out this one. Been a Todd fan for over 30 years. "No World Order". Saw the tour to this one. He had himself w/ 3 dancers. The music was pre-programmed with the exception of his guitar & keyboard solos. He threw condoms out in the audience every now & them .When Fascist Christ was played, the audience when ballistic. That was the 1st of 15X times i've seen him.
