  • This video is biased. :/ I wonder why people are so against the Death Penalty.

  • 2:06 Not all people go that way during Lethal Injection. Example:

    1. In Guatemala, a Kidnapper/Rapist/Murderer took over 50 minutes to die by Lethal Injection after the 1st drug in the 3-drug cocktail failed to knock him unconsiouss.

    2. It took Angelo Diaz 34 Minutes and 2 injections to die in Florida.

  • Not all Murder Victim family members support the death penalty. I heard about the story about one woman who continued to oppose the death penalty even after her young child was raped was murdered.

  • If one of my family members who I love more than anything was killed or raped I'd probably want the person who did it dead too, at least for a while. However, the law cannot be based on the immediate emotional responses of the family. The law also cannot be built around our need for revenge. The murderers and rapists on death row have families too who will feel exactly the way you all feel if their little boy or big bother or daddy was killed, even if he did kill someone else.

  • We shouldn't waste our food, money, or time on those despicable excuses of humans.

  • Kill them. None of you will be saying that when you're mum is raped the killed or you're young daughter is molested.

  • HANG 'EM HIGH!!!

  • If one of my loved ones was murdered, I would want to see the killer fry...

  • these people in the clip are a bunch of ignorant, stupid fools. lol i cant believe these douche bags think they have the right or choice to decide whether someone lives or dies because of there crime lol specially that fat blonde, your a loser budd. and the guy at 2:22.. spoke up and let everyone no how stupid he is.. "the electric chair is the only thing thats gonna stop these punks from doing what there doing".. ahaha.. its been proven that the death penalty has no impact what so ever

  • What the FUCK is this? "It's time for forgiveness"? Are you fucking kidding me? You want someone to forgive the person that killed the brother, sister, mother, father, son, daughter, friend or loved one? Who the fuck does these people think they are for telling them they need to forgive before the healing can begin? These animals just get put to sleep that's it. As far as I am concerned drop there ass into a human sized meat grinder feet first!!!!!

  • @getalife04

lol.. and who the hell do you think you are for even thinking you have the right or choice to decide whether someone lives or dies.. your just as guilty of murder as the killer is..

  • @JusJuiceIt I could care less those sick fucks deserve to die for what they did. What we need are old school public executions! You steal something they cut off or your hand. In 3rd world countries that still practice that with 3x the populations of all US Major cities have a 10th of the crime because of the harsh penalties. I agree our current death penalty doesn't work because it's not harsh enough. What if your mother was brutally raped tortured and murdered? I bet you would want him dead too

  • @getalife04

i totally disagree man, but you are right about those countries that do have penalty's like cutting off a hand or some form of torture have less crime. The thing wrong with that which is also one of the things wrong with the death penalty is what if you get the wrong guy? which has happened so many times. And as for your last sentence, lol iv been asked that 10 thousand times, ill give you the same answer.. No i would not want that person dead, id want him behind bars for the rest

  • @getalife04

of his life, but dead, nah man.. lol who am I to take a life.. and obvs no one believes me, when i give that answer, but its the truth. believe it or not

  • @JusJuiceIt I thought the exact same thing as you that I wouldn't want them dead. But my aunt was brutally murdered 5 years ago. She was tortured for 3 days and raped repeadedly. She was finally killed by having her head sawed off. She was beaten burned cut and battered beyond recognition. And when it came down to him going to court I wanted him dead. He showed NO REMORSE for his actions. He was sentenced to death by electric chair. And I will attend and smile! I hope that never happens to you.

  • @getalife04

i wanna tell you straight up... thank you for your testimony, and i appreciate your opinion on how you felt after this horrific thing happened to you. Now id like to share something with you.. im a christian, i was born in Iraq, when my old man was 24 years old, he was put in jail for 2 years by the Iraqi government for strictly just being a christian, so obvs the people that put him in jail were muslim. Anyways, while in jail, they tortured him, and barely fed him, he was eating

  • @getalife04

the mice that ran around on his body as he was sleeping, and also, they would put him in the hole for 3 months at a time, with no human contact what so ever. thats my first story, the next one is, when i was 18, my uncle which was living in Iraq, was kidnapped by terrorist back in 2007, they tortured him, ripped his fingers off, gouged his eyes out, and burned him alive, and so his family had to run from there house out of terror.

  • @getalife04

even tho my old man, did not suffer the fat of dying, he still suffered torture for 2 years held in captivity, but my uncle did die.. so in respect to your last sentence my friend.. No i do not wish and never did, for the accused to die, i forgive them and hope they will get a JUST punishment, but not by the hand of man, we are not to take the place of God. And id also like to add, even if i wasn't christian, i would still say the same thing.. its just the way your born.

  • @JusJuiceIt I cannot believe that you forgave people that could do such horrific things to the ones you love. Either you don't have the stomach for hatred to seek revenge for those that hurt the ones you love. I am sorry about your uncle and I don't get why you aren't filled with the same rage I am. Personally I don't believe in God. If God existed and truly watched out for us then things wouldn't happen like what happened to my aunt. I will protect my life and the life of my offspring forever.

  • @getalife04

thank you man i appreciate that.. but believe me, i do have the hatred inside me, i do feel like i want to hurt back the people that have done this to my family, but at the end of the day, its not how i feel that matters more to me, Its how Jesus feels, he died on the cross for me to live, and so its only right for me to live for him. therefore i do not wish death to anyone, even if my mom was the victim to such a horrific act, and i mean that.

  • @getalife04

but in response to where you said "I dont believe in God, and if God existed and watched out for us then things wouldn't happen like what happened to my aunt."

i beg you to watch this, type on youtube

Hitchens Vs 4 christians at book expo 2009 (1 of 12)

and please watch the whole thing if you truly mean what you said, and are curious to the answers, because there are many answers and this clip will give you some from a christian perspective.. believe me man im not tryna preach

  • @getalife04

im just tryna help you through hard times.. iv been there and i flew by, but dont think it was easy for me, im just born with a hard head, and dont fall short to sentimental issues. plus i have Jesus, and he lets me no that i will see my uncle again. but i can tell from your comments that youve endured a hard year, and i really hope you come to terms with happiness again soon, but goin to a mans execution with a smile, is not gonna make you happy. its gettin answers to the

  • @getalife04

statements like you made in your last sentence, where you think if God existed he wouldn't of let this happen. there are answers to this and i hope you watch the clip i sent you. im prayin for you man, and no matter how much you dont believe in God, he believes in you.

  • @getalife04

i forgot to mention bro.. the reason i sent you that clip, is caz some where in it, the atheist says what you said, "well if God existed why is he allowing bad things to happen".. and the christians answer this question. and also just incase you want to learn more.. one of the men that are sitting at that table in the video, his name is Dr. william lane craig.. he debates everyone, from atheists to any religion, and i beg you to watch those videos, there long but great to learn

  • @JusJuiceIt There is no amount of talking or religion that can change my mind. Greatest form of mass mind control ever created. Every religion on the planet was started by man not god. All bibles have been written by man so therefore it was created by man. If you think about it, what better way to control people than to write a book about someone who will smite them and send them to a pit of burning and despair for all eternity. Nothing can change my mind.

  • @getalife04

ightt man.. your response is easily debatable.. but its your choice, take care yo

  • @getalife04 I agree with you completely.

  • @maxter480 Well at least someone has some sense besides me lol.

  • @getalife04 what is wrong with you get your facts straight, men who were led by the spirit of God. This country will pay for trying to play God and you will see that God is True. I pray for your soul

  • @Tiffany25ism Oh really now? What about the men and women that are "lead by the spirit of god" and murder their whole family. Like the mother that drowned her children in the bath tub one by one while the others watched because "god" told her to. Every religious person I know is a sheep and can't make decisions for themselves. They live in fear that everything they do they have to pray about first and it's pathetic. You have no REAL proof other than a book. I could write one too lol.

  • Bless her, she has so much to share and teach!

  • I think it is incredible depraved to want to watch an execution or to advocate public execution for sake of deterrents. Crime is not stopped by this and abuse of the cocept only rises in turn.

  • @Zunile03scape Public television of the event is medieval and unneccesary but can you look into the eyes of someone who has had a friend or family member murdered and tell them that the person who committed the crime deserves to live?

  • @Cheeta1020 Our society is being raised on the crap that the Death Penalty works. That other countries which use it for insulting the faith are something to aspire too. We let our justice system just turn out worse criminals and killers, no concept of reform getting anything but a scoffing even for the one's we can change. Finally reformed or exshonrated, people still condem those who were once accused.

The answer is YES, if what I just insinuated above would be true of you or them.

  • The death penalty solves nothing.

  • Kelsey Smith- 18 year old girl that was kidnapped raped sodomized and then strangled with her own belt on her way to a graduation party

the bastard got life without parole

is there anyone who doesnt think that piece of shit deserves to die?

  • if we could guarantee that the person has commited the crime, it's time to die..only problem with this is, some of the victims have been brutally tortured, raped, beaten to death..things u couldn't even imagine, so it doesnt seem fair that they are getting away with life to have their freedom again, or even a needle to go into a peacful sleep hello! its time we didn't just kill them,we should do to them exactly what they did to their victims, it seems fair..an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth

  • THANK YOU !!! I been saying the same thing !! If they torture somebody else they should be tortured the same exact way !! They damn sure shouldn't get to live. I completely agree with you !!

  • @MsMonkeyFart

Basically what you're saying is that it's logical to kill a murderer to show the world that murder is wrong. That's like trying to put out a fire with more fire.

  • @Savipalooza its fine to kill a murderer, not an innocent person. The cases where the animal has been released, only to kill again? What if someone asked you, which would you prefer the murderer to be put to death, or to be released and possibly kill again, you would really say release them, because it's not logical, if you want to put it that way you can also say that people protecting the ones who murdered again are also murderers themselves? it has and will happen again, stakes are too high

  • @MsMonkeyFart rather have a murderer sit in jail for the rest of their life instead of an eye for an eye mentality.

  • @SludgePunkGrunge Ok fair enough, i just do not see it myself though. Did you know there is no know cure for a psychopath? did you know people have been released from jail/prison even when previously faced with death penalty only to commit murder again? I understand if you disagree with the eye for an eye thing, it does not make you a bad person but please, also consider that these people DO have a different mentality than our own and yes FACT some can NOT be cured and yes some will kill again.

  • @SludgePunkGrunge If you are fine with living with this, I beg you to allow your daughter/son/mother/father the permission to marry someone who has murdered someone. There is no such thing as ''sitting in jail for the rest of your life'' the maximum penalty for murder can be as low as 10 years and in some countries even lower, even though some of those can appeal their case and be freed only to commit murder again. You can take that risk if you want but me i would rather not.

  • if he dies he won't be punished

if you kill someone he won't pay for his crimes

  • yes he would be punished and his death is the closest hell ever come to paying for his crimes

  • You would agree there have been FAR MORE innocent children raped and tortured, teenage girls brutalized and killed, grown men and women tragically murdered by murderers who's sentences were commuted or escaped than innocent men put to death. I am as big a supporter of the Innocence Project as I am the DP. I believe they go hand in hand. I would never want to see anyone executed with THE SLIGHTEST doubt of there innocence.

Let me ask you... If we could GUARANTEE guilt would you support the DP?

  • Kenneth McDuff raped and killed three teenages in the late 60's. Life Imprisonment was the sentence. He eventually was released and killed many more times. Murderers escape. IT HAPPENS. Executed murderers will never offend again. When the state carries out a death sentence it has very little to do with the victims mental health. The reason is two fold... To pay for their crimes and prevent this person from ever offending again. Child killers especially. Ask Polly Klaas Family family...

  • So I will assume your idea of justice is 'pay for crime' & 'prevent crime'.

No legal system in the world punishes people for crimes they have not committed, just in case. If you think of the implications of such a system, that is a very slippery slope to go down, no civilized society could allow. This escape does not excuse losing complete perspective. Why is prison security not in question/other solutions instead of just killing as yr immediate response, if you are not just out for killing?

  • Secondly, to 'pay for crimes' is fine, but a dead person cannot pay for anything. In fact, money spent trying to kill people runs into millions, much better spent in crime prevention, better prison security, helping families. Prisoners can be put to work to literally pay for crimes & are alive to repent their actions. Not possible with DP. Also, innocent men have gone to their deaths, it is not reversible. The victims family must live with blood on their hands.

Are we not smarter than this?

  • Is it appropriate to have the victim's input?

  • My heart goes out to each and every one of you. Having had a 12-year-old cousin murdered by a grown man, it does hurt. But, the death penalty does not provide me any closure and really, there will never be any real closure.

  • Closure, unfortunatly, is not the reason for the death penalty. I pray closure for all these familys. It is not about being hateful either. It is about JUSTICE. When you maliciously take another persons life you should forfiet yours... period. Emotions and "feelings" cloud the issue. Pro and con. 1st offense rapist should be casterated. Why? Because that woman will never be the WHOLE again. She will fight sexual issues the rest of her life. Justice dictates the offender never be intimate again.

  • When you say 'justice' do you mean retributive justice? What purpose is this type of justice meant for, revenge, payback? I think the person in this vid is describing the way that people are more likely to heal when they remove the hatred & revenge which makes them victims, so they can move on with their lives & heal. DP cases drag them through court over 10 yrs & in end their loved one is still gone, only another innocent child grieves.

  • Your feelings cloud your judgment. This is not revenge. It is Justice. You are right about the length of time it takes to execute someone. We need to streamline the appeals process, take those savings and fund an objective third party DNA/forensic type entity to prove guilt. When DNA proves guilt, the sentence is carried out within 30 days. If you kill in a heinous manner or abuse children sexually or violently, you should forfeit your life. Retribution has nothing to do with it. JUSTICE...

  • No, it's the complete opposite. I do not allow feelings to cloud my judgement, that's why I oppose the DP despite the nature of crime, I can separate out my feelings about it and be objective.

Now, my question was, how do you DEFINE justice, if you don't mean retributive justice, which is revenge, and you didn't answer that question.
