ROB STUBBS STARLING

  • @TheRedstripe520 LOL TO MY OWN POST BEFORE I WENT TO THIS SHOW AND EVEN AT THIS FIRST SHOW AND A FEW RIGHT AFTER THAT I WAS A COUSTY HALARIOUS HUH

  • After 3:56 anything can happen and it happened beautifully here.

  • Saw 16 shows on the 89 and 90 tour. Changed my life as all Dead shows did to us heads. Sorry I missed this one though.

  • @TheKhaibear U KNOW EVEN THO IT WAS MY FIRST SHOW AND ALL ITS TO ME NOW AFTER ALOT OF SHOWS OF COURSE A PRETTY DECENT SHOW . SO IT WASNT LIKE THE ONE TO SEE THAT YR I THOUGH RFK FOLLOWING WAS PRETTY TIGHT. STUBBS

  • I loved Pigpen and Keith (Tom C. not so much) but I gotta say Brent was the best keyboard player the band ever had. When he died their decline was precipitous:-(

'89 was a very good year!

  • I was there. The Scarlet/Fire blew my mind.

  • @Gossage54 YOUR RIGHT BRENT WAS THE BEST

  • This version of 'Let It Grow' is an absolute monster.

  • Thumbs up if you were there!

  • @BJBlitzstein I wish :(

  • @3:50>>anything may happen.

  • I was at that show too. Hopped the wall from the seats with my now ex-husband to get as close to Bobby as possible :D Thanks for posting! Brings back great memories!

  • i love 80s dead, brent's voice add so much to the music

  • @dvssk8er3 Yes. Especially the resurrgence of the band after Jerry's near death experince in 86'. The late 80's Dead is some of my favourite as well. I really like Brent.

  • MAGIC.

  • Beautiful in every sense of the word. Brilliant. Gods.

  • you could almost hear their ears listening wow thanx man was here what a show

  • Best "Let It Grow" I ever saw. I mean just look at them. They meant business! There was another great one in April of 89 to close a first set in Chicago (Rosemont) second night of a three nighter, but this one had that Truckin' >Smokestack>Spoonful>Smokestack>He's Gone>Space/Drums(Wharf Rat) I think it was the night Abby Hoffman died... WOW! Both of them make it into my top three. The "third" being (believe it or not) Miami 94'. Great show. 89's and 94's were great shows. "Some" 93's and 88's.

  • My 1st Dead show!!

  • wow what a year 89 was, saw every show but 2 miss the fat man, still makes me sad 15 years l8r that i will never see him play again live. This video is a great reminder of what was and the best Jam band ever

  • I was there in '89..............I feel like I am there again right now...awesome video and sound. Thanks for posting an important momentary piece of my life!!!!!!

  • Thank You for this video !! The magic still lives !!!

  • What a fine recording and video. An impeccable performance! Can't believe I saw over 40 Dead shows at the Spectrum and never made one at JFK. So grateful we have so much of this fine music recorded!

  • sweet shorts Bobby is sporting.

  • @CannabisPlanet

Bobby always wears the best shorts :D

  • I like how there is an ant-healthcare message before the Dead play.

  • GREAT FOOTAGE OF AN ALL TIME GREAT JAM. IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE THE ENTIRE WEATHER REPORT SUIT INTO LET IT GROW TOO.

IF YOU LIKE THIS, GET THE DVD TRUCKIN' UP TO BUFFALO, MY HOMETOWN WHERE THE DEAD PLAYED ON JULY 4TH '89 - I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE THERE WHAT SEEMS AGES AGO AND IT WAS GREAT.

  • @ANGE3790 I was there... got the CD. Jerry couldn't stop laughing through US Bules encore! Great Terrapin.
