Genelec doesn't make anything that will fit in my Laptop carry bag so don't tell me how good Genelec 8040 monitors are ... they are useless for my portable shit. Altec Lansing makes speakers that will make you cry but they don't fit in my portable shit either ... Get real ... Small speakers that sound better than my built-in speakers are worth at least some concideration. I get tired of wearing headphones so good portable speakers are necessary.

What is amazing? Sounds like a pile O crap. I use Genelec 8040 monitors with a RME Fireface 400 audio interface so the weak link is not on my side.

All these tiny noise makers sound like a pile of steaming crap. AMAZING, you should hear Genelec monitors then you could have a reason to post AMAZING.

IMO these are pretty good as portable speakers and are quite nice CONSIDERING the size and price ratio. One thing confuses me is how different are these to Chill Pill Speakers.

@bsod4u2 show me a similar product in this size and price range which can do better then. You cant carry a fireface and a pair of 8040s with you. The original poster saying "amazing" might not know about professional monitors, but for the average consumer who has to choose from crappy alkaline powered 1.5 inch woofers or these, at least the better product will be chosen. When I am on the go I listen to my sourroundings not music. These are fun products but quite pointless. Either you listen at home or to earphones if you must have quality..on the go(and get crushed by a car and not hear it!).

@bsod4u2 there's some nice applications for this type of stuff. Example: I produce a lot of music on the go, so my monitoring tends to be on a good pair of headphones. However after mixing down on monitors, the ears tend to die a bit lol It's good to have something basic like this to use as a reference coz if it sounds good on this, it should theoretically translate very well. Also I carry around a tiny synth & its nice to use some form of speaker to hear what bleeps and blops i'm making!

I know what you're saying. The bass delivery is awful. But to be fair for the size the sound output is reasonable. You cant really expect much bass from portable speakers anyway. If anyone finds any please let me know haha. For what they are i guess they'er alright but t's nothing compared to floor standers and a 12" sub haha.

They are amazing! The bass system works very good, this means u get clear, wicked bass and LOUD! It's true, these are probably the best sound/size boxes there are... I paid them €40 and I'm very happy with them!

It's simply provides a good and full sound with respectable base. The battery is built in Li-Ion Rechargeable thru USB. 6 to 8 hours of continuous use per full charge.

And it is really loud.

My friends who hears them for the first time is always asking where I got mine. It seems there have been fakes of these being sold.

So if you want one make sure you get the REAL ones.

I saw these on thinkgeek and they have two of them for sale, one is called X-mini for 24.99, the other one is called Max Stereo for 49.99. Anyway the site doesn't tell you what the difference is. I'm guessing max stereo is two speakers and X-mini is just one. Since thinkgeek didn't explain I was wondering if you would know. Thanks.

The're Identical in construction except for the compnay LOGO &the locking silkscreen,Non retracting cable.The led is Green/red on IHM7.
