It completely insults they're ideas of what life should' look like. It shatters their dreams in light of those views and might possibly dement a few of them further, to something quite scary (hopefully not). It's the rest of them that you must convince with such a question and a good one at that. Look! Not one response, so it 'speaks louder then words'.
