  • Truly inspiring vid to watch. I admire your commitment and dedication to help this poor creature. Wishing Montana & his family a well deserved life from Australia.

  • @khepow Thank you!

  • What happened to this poor dog that he was so afraid of everything?

  • @hibiscusfreak He came from a situation where he did not get the individual attention he needed.

  • I watched this video because I am getting a sheltie pup soon and will start clicker training, but had to watch it for how touching it was. I admire your patience. I had adopted a 2 year old American Eskimo in 1991 that was terribly abused. Was able to train her well, but never got her to "warm up" to strangers or marines. Anyhow, I found your patience with Montana heartwarming and encouraging. Thank you.

  • @kjorgey1 Thank you for your kind words, and good luck with your new pup!

  • great work something truly worth watching true professionals working their magic

  • @claudiahoyle Thank you, Claudia!

  • lovely video! :) what a success story!!

  • @kikopup Thank you, Emily!

  • I thought that was a very enlightening video and appreciate what I've learned from watching it, taking such tiny steps. Congrats to Montana's owner, trainer and veterinarian. My question is Montana appears to be very nicely groomed. How did he react to the necessary handling to have that done?

  • @MarilynLaz Thank you, Marilyn. He was also sensitive to touch and did not like to have a collar or leash put on him. We used desensitization and counter-conditioning to get him used to being touched. I also coached his owners on body language. As you can see in this video, Montana's owner is very gentle with him, but her husband, being a tall man with a deep voice and more outgoing approach needed to learn body language that would be less intimidating to sensitive Montana.
