memories...o my gosh! just remembering that this album was not that spectac' except for a few songs...who's got Norwegian Wood out there? Please upload.
Was hoping this was the dance version, which is even better, with mucho personal memories! Hmm, 'Ways of the Wind' it is then, always thought it was called 'Holding On'.
This is my second favorite song from them after my own personal gravity. But they were never considered an alternative group, they were always mis-categorized as hip-hop-R&B But they consider their music to be trance/melodic, I just think it should be called THE SHIT!
Ahhh soothes my soul. I love the video especially when the room is dark. There is just no other group that sounds like PM Dawn. Beautiful humans beings and oh so talented. And it has always been such a mystery to me why more people haven't heard of them, oh well they have missed out. They lift me up when I am down and they seem like a secret friend who knows just the right thing to say. They have kept me "hanging on" from time to time. Love you guys forever.
This song seriously affected me as a preteen. Rediscovering it years later as an educated adult and vocalist has only made me love it more era-cheeze and all. The song is well arranged and the harmony is simple yet affective. The lyrics are extremely well articulated--you understand every syllable. I think this video fits the sentiments of a particular era's visual desires for this type of song but does not withstand the test of time and technology. Well, maybe the resolution's just bad. =}

I remember being afraid of opening my Bliss Album cassette ( <- lol cassette) because of the way the first album hit me. So I waited till school was over so it wouldn't effect my grades...but man was that a "i feel sorry for myself, I think I'm just gonna gaze at the clouds, or the wall in my room and not go out with friends" type of summer. Get well Prince B.

I love what you did here, how the landscapes fade into different colours. Trees, mountains in such beautiful colours. I wish I had a big screen to watch it all day long. I hope you are doing well and that 2010 is turning out to be a great year for you.

This is really interesting. the Guitar sample and main vocal melody are taken from the Joni Mitchell song "I Had a King" off her 1968 "Songs to a Seagull" album. but they've really done something worthwhile with it. really a beautiful song.
Sarah Hur thinking of you more than you know. im happily involved but I still think of what it was back in the day none the less. hope you are well catch up with me sometime.
This is one of my favorite P.M. Dawn songs. I agree with you aero912. Not too many hip hop/R&B songs nowadays put me in a "good mood". I may want to dance, but it doesn't make me feel good like this stuff. These guys dared to be different. Much love to P.M. Dawn.
God I love this song... love this band! Wife and I had "I'd Die Without You" as our wedding song... maybe an odd choice but we just loved it so much, we didn't care what anybody thought...
I heard of some interesting sample choices from rappers and singers but this Joni Mitchell guitar sample (I Had A King 1968) really rocks the boat in terms of sampling choice. What makes me laugh is that they managed to pull it off...WITH JONI'S BLESSING! Well done to these guys. Please come back to the music world, it's dying now that you guys aint here.
This song takes me back to my freshman year in college- one of the local radio stations played it all the time and I never understood why it wasn't a bigger hit. It was one of the more brilliant uses of sampling in that era, as the riff from 'I Had a King' (by Joni Mitchell, one of my all-time favorite musicians) was used to create a beautiful and memorable melody. What a great song from an underrated group!
Somebody's got to put up the actual single version of it (The 7" mix that's a bonus track on the Greatest Hits album). I never understood why the song wasn't a hit because I loved jamming to that back in the day.
OMG.....I freakin LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these guys!! That voice is soooo soothing for me.

The opening is a sample from Joni Mitchell's first album - Song to a Seagull - a song called I Had A King.
