@louisehuh horses aren't allowed free access to feed, less they founder or develop deadly colic. Most are hay feed alfalfa and timothy blened hay two to three times a day. the presence of grass growing on the ground doesn't matter- they aren't skinny.

@louisehuh Yes there is. Even if there wasn't any, They are still being fed very well. Tons of horses live in paddocks without grass, they are fed a rich diet of hay and grain.

@bridlelessgirl Other horses lol. Seriously, I had thought Paso Fino for my Appy. (although she says she only likes Paints) and I am not sure about my MFT. The MFT is a foundation so it may be best to keep to that. I am not breeding them for cash I just want to enlarge the herd with known stock.

@liveloveride97 yes, that foal is brand new and momma is still sore from the birth; it is so touching to watch...the mare is battling two instincts: fight off pain causing activity and not harming her baby...the leg might come up but she will not kick...mothering wins every time!
