  • @joedeafhiphop69 any more info mate?

  • hey mate that looks like a pain in the arse....some bloke who works at the the bloody Apple Store was trying to pull me by the wanker with crazy upgrades that didn't correspond with what I''m trying to do, How did this work for you? Cheers

  • I've just realised that the 10.4 disk you have in this video is the one you sent with the PB. That disk is currently sat on my desk. :)

And yes Danny, I am that bored I'm watching old youtube videos. :)

We need to catch up some time too.

    Jon

  • Holy crap...that's the same monitor I use with my G3!!!

  • I think he needed to use Disk Utility to partition the drive

  • tip about filming computer screens. Change your shutter speed on your video camera and you will get less of a flicker.

  • Higher or lower, (towards 1/1000 or 1/2)?

  • If your camera has a view screen you can turn the shutter speed lower or higher to match. I found this to work when you can see it on the screen you'll se less lines or flicker happening. Also you can flip your display settings to match as well. If filming a flat screen you don't have to do this at all.

  • Do u still have this mac ?

  • has any1 noticed wen companies record with a camera they never get those jumpy line things.

  • Well, I'm sure they have thoose "Expencive" cameras who professionals are using

  • do u stil have tht

  • Oh yeah, when you were having that problem in some more recent videos....I think if you got the thing from the US you should check the back and see that the voltage is set to your Country's voltage.

  • Eep I had THREE Maxtor hard drives die. I would never buy Maxtor again. Then again, since Seagate bought them out, I wonder if the quality has improved some.

  • I like western Digital over both of them..

  • i have 2 maxtor drives in my mdd g4, no problems at all

  • the trick to get that flicker away is to move the camera away then use digital zoom inwards. And shouldnt you have just seen if it booted before you upgraded ?

  • I thought thats because he didn't have a power cord.

  • don't worry about the monitor flicker mate, it's caused by the scanning and refreshing the crt monitor does. LCD screens don't flicker, which is why you don't get the issue on them ;)

    keep us updated mate :)

  • Whoa, normal people actually know that. Weird. HAHA

  • The battery, I believe, is the PRAM Battery. But I am not 100% sure on that.

  • Oh no. A Maxtor hard disk. We've had loads of those fail at work... same casing as yours.... be careful what you put on it just in case.

  • My Maxtor on my Dell Dimension died last week.

  • nice stuff. keep it up

  • Yeah - I had that. You need to boot from the install disk and then use "Disk Utility" to Erase the disk and re-format it. Doesn't take too long fortunately

  • Thanks Steve and UnforseenDirector, I figured it out in the end, its all working good, stay tuned for more G4 videos!

  • great video - Hope the install went ok! Will the review of this be up tonight?

  • YOU AGAIN!! haha jk.

  • Nice vid, glad it...er...turned on at least. But I almost had a seizure watching the screen lol.

  • Ya, that's what happens for some reason when CRT Monitors are recorded.

  • Yeah, that's so weird...and annoying.

  • Wheres your anti static wrist band? You will fry you hardware :D

  • danny your vids are great keep it up

  • I sent you a message on why its not showing the hard drive. You need to partition and format it. :)

  • yaaaaaaaaaaaaay
