@scarcrow21 Thanks. I just looked it up, but I have to say, seeing the price of that software inspired me to just stick with adobe flash and not worry about getting that software. Seeing $3495.00 made me laugh until my head popped off of my shoulders and melted on the floor. SSSSSSSS! Okay, I'm over it. Thanks for the help.
Really? That sounds like the task is a little daunting, but I wish you the best of luck. I'm creating one myself, just as a summer project and though it doesn't resemble the actually Chandelier because I wanted to make it my own style.
True. I'm guessing, though, that whatever a school might try to put together would pose no serious threat to the integrity of the real show. No offense meant to the school, but to do it right would be incredibly expensive and would require a massive, highly trained crew.
I just don't think that a a school will ever pull off Phantom and I think that's a smart move Andrew Lloyd Webber is doing to not release the rights.
Phantom should look a lot more proffessional and if a school even thought of trying it, it would be a complete mess. And it would be incredly expensive as well, there is no way they would be able to afford it and how many school students are highly qualified??
The rights HAVE been released and many theaters have staged this show... Obviously, it will never be the same as the professional version directed by Hal Prince, but it should be interesting to see what people come up with on limited budgets.
@yellowcup87 My highschool is actually trying to pull it off, we were one of the few schools that were able to get the rights to preform it, we'll see if your assumption is correct or not (:
@mewjessica1777 My wife's directing this at the high school here should be interesting to see how we pull this off there are some good Ideas being tossed around.
Actually Webber has only allowed it to be produced by High Schools. No community or regional theatres can get the rights yet. Just High Schools,Les Mis is the same way.
Actually, what happened was my computer corrupted. I had created Audrey 2 as part of a larger work, involving several other musicals. Since I had a few shots of Audrey 2 and right up to where the lights go out, I tried to piece together an acceptable ending.
They're changing from electric lights to gas lights. I don't know if that is historically accurate, but I needed something else to happen and the lights were a simple solution.
Wow. I was not expecting Audrey 2 in this...

Phantom should just be left as it is.
