  • Note to self: Listen to this later when I'm high.

  • "You like samurai swords, I like baseball."

  • Seven dislikers don't know an eargasm if it hit them in the ear with a fucking sledgehammer at 900 miles per hour.

I can't seem to find the lyrics on Google... ;-)

  • Beautiful music at it's best..

  • @Dylexa Is the fact that who dislike this beauty is NOT human. They are monsters.

  • well I don't give a rats ass what the 7 dislikes think. It did take a while to find, and I thought WTF. Now, I would like to see these 7 idiots hit the high octaves as well, maybe if you squeeze in the right areas it might happen.

  • love it

  • They are saying words LOL It's in japanese and it just sounds like she's not saying anything. I've been trying to find the lyrics for freakin ever! I found them ONCE and then didn't save. WTF IS WRONG WITH ME! LOL

  • I used to wake up to this song as my alarm :)

  • *sniffs* This song really is beautiful. Hard to believe four human beings would actually dislike such beauty!

  • @swriel sorry is not dot com is only three W and com

  • thanks for posting this...I am looking for the MP3 of it everywhere...

  • Refering to KillBill I consider this to be one of the best scenes Quintin has done period. Its a very somber experiance as The Bride approches these master crafted katanas. She knows these swords represent a life dedicated to the art and mastery of forgeing the prefecting of the katana and that is what make a Hanzo sword. It wasnt just forged by some guy, but by a man who was dedicated, poured his soul and his prefection into the sword, This scene is a showing of true character.

  • Didn't remeber this one...

kaifuku suru kizu="try to recover from pain"? Did I get it right or does it mean something else?

    MVHH

  • @HarriHaffi "the wound that heals"

  • this song is beautiful im 13 and i love it its so relaxing

  • Does Salyu has more songs like this? I've heard some of hers, and they're ok (for me) but this one's fantastic! When I heard it in kill bill years ago, I, immediately knew I had to know the name of this song. And years after, here I'am, listening to it :)

  • I Luved This Song Ever Since I Heard It On " Kill Bill Volume 1 "

  • @LilNiceyTv This song always makes me want to cry, ever since I first heard it. I was like.. 9. Im going on 16. IM SUCH A SAP FOR SAD MUSIC!!! lol

  • @NessaMode Lol

  • simplemente...precioso

  • It's very beautiful.

  • 207 people like samurai swords. 3 people like baseball.

  • I highly recommend All About Lily Chou Chou". "Glide" is my favourite song, but this one is good too. It is an emotional ride and a thrilling drama, very well done, with of course, this great soundtrack!

  • I freaking LOVE this song. I love all of the songs in the movie! XD

  • .Enfin,...! Putain,j'ai fini par retrouver cette superbe chanson qui illustre si bien une des scènes les plus fascinantes de l'excellent "Kill Bill"!

...Et qui n'est même pas sur le CD du soundtrack...!

    Merci,ctinax.!

  • Are Salyu and Lily Chou Chou the same person?

  • @x082890 Yes they are, Salyu is her real name, and lily chou chou is the name she was given in the movie.

  • @x082890 Salyu es la que personifica al personaje de lili chou chou en la pelicula "All About Lily Chou Chou"

  • I OWn the 2 CDs and also if you look in Vuze or other p2p for Download you have Kill Bill OST With UNRELEASED songs..and this is there..like others..Good Luck

  • Been looking for this song for the longest...thank you Wiki (for the info) and YouTube for the music. *Sigh* What a relief. So relaxing.

  • 3 People disliked it...how do you do that?

I mean...this is pretty freaking hard to find if you're actually looking for it...and then you dislike it...god damn.

  • @GalryZ This is a special song, almost spiritual...and you had to go and say the Lord's name in vain, and ruin it.

  • @careing57587 This is a special song, almost spiritual...and you had to go and say stupid religion shit, and ruin it.

  • @careing57587 No one can ruin what you won't let be ruined. Saying the Lords name in vain is something to not do, and although that's sad and someone like myself doesn't like that either, I'm not going around correcting every warm body and shoving it in their face. It's the love of God that brings all men to repentance, not his wrath.

  • @Yelluca7 The Bible is true because the Bible says so, etc.

  • @GalryZ indeed, very very hard to find..

  • This song was hard to find. I love it though.

  • @Expl0rati0n it sure was hard to find, how would you describe any of the lyrics. eeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyoooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @CaiqueLover lmao lol

  • @Expl0rati0n Seriously, I've been trying to find this song ever since the movie came out. Found out about the title through Wikipedia just now and came here to listen to it. Lovely song and should've been included on the soundtrack.

  • "Funny. You like samurai swords. I like...baseball."

  • begone with me

  • Awesome piece of music...

  • The song is actually from All About Lily Chou-Chou not Kill Bill

  • It's from Kill Bill aswell.

  • @TatooineBoy actually from both but @ctinax I think you should reference All About Lily Chou-Chou in your description.

  • @TatooineBoy Tarantino always uses non-original music.. Ennio Morricone composed a few tracks for Kill Bill and Inglorious Basterds though.

  • ...

  • thank u!!!!!

  • sweet dreams

  • personaly this is the most memmorable part of kill bill when the bride marvels over hattori hanzo's sword collection and this song plays so calm and relaxing.

"you like swords..funny, i like baseball"

    Hattori Hanzo.

  • wounds that heal. such a haunting melody.

  • I saw Kill Bill today, and at the scene where this song comes on, I had only one thing on my mind: I gotta get this song!

  • I've been looking for AGES for this song o__o thank you

  • i kno right..took me forever..so soothing

  • To answer your question. I think Quentin couldn't put it on the Kill Bill soundtrack cause around that time is was already on another soundtrack which was "All About Lily Chou-Chou" which may have had copyrighted issues to be on another soundtrack.

  • This song first appeared in "All About Lily Chou-Chou" first. Quentin Tarantino saw that film and decided to put in Kill Bill to pay hommage to it cause he loved All About Lily Chou-Chou. It is a brilliant film as the students share memories and play kendo when this song is playing. Its good too when The Bride gazes at the samurai swords too. It s a good song!

  • Does anyone know the song in the last scene of Kill Bill Vol. 1 when she's in the plane flyin' home.

  • Out of my horrible memory I believe that it's "The Lonely Shepherd" by Zamfir... but I could be wrong (I just know that it's at the end of the movie and carries on into the credits)

  • You are right, that music is Zamfir's The Lonely Shepherd. It will never sound as epic as in this ending.

    "One more thing, Sophie..."

  • This is as legendary as my goosebumps while listenin it

  • ..you like .swords ./....i like baseball..remember ..lol..

  • i swear to god, if youtube deletes this song for "copywright" im punching someone in the weiner.

  • I know as soon as i heard it in he movie i fell in love with it and it took me forever to find this song on here, so if something like that were to happen i will so cut someone

  • cut me..ill let you..

  • @bigman32193

I searched for 3 hours to find this song and all I can say is that it was WORTH IT.

  • finally! not putting this on the soundtrack was a STUPID idea! It's so memorable in the damn movie!!

  • I agree, theres some stupid stuff on that album that this song could have replaced. Does it really need qwotes from the movie or kung fu sound fx?

  • Well in defense of the soundtrack, I feel like putting those quotes and kung fu sfx are what make the soundtrack quirky and artful, and essentially "quentin tarantino". Also, not including this song makes it more sacred. Because it's harder to find, the search is thrilling and makes the song more special when you find it!

  • tarantino puts quotes in all of his soundtracks, so that's why those are there. Maybe they couldn't put the song in for certain reasons, or maybe he left it out so people buy the movie too? :|

  • Tarantino lifted the song from a very recent Japanese movie called "All About Lily Chou Chou." In that movie, the song has an even more prominent role. I wonder if that played a role in the song not making the cut for the soundtrack.

  • How on earth did I not notice a track from the Lily Chou Chou soundtrack on Kill Bill?

Anyways, quite the haunting song. For those looking for where to get it, it's on the Lily Chou Chou album "Kokyuu". Lily Chou Chou may be a fictional singer, but has a real album. Salyu's performance as Lily (never shown in the movie, but heard a lot) was powerful enough to launch her real-life singing career.

Check out "Ai no Jikken" for another good track from Lily Chou Chou.

  • It sells it in the Itunes store in Japan.

  • tremendous. anyone know where one could get a download or her album?

  • It is possible to obtain it in the ITunes store in Japan.

  • Caught my attention during the movie. Love it!

  • I was pretty high when I first saw Kill BIll in the movie theater 5 years ago, and during this scene I just remember spacing out and listening to this beautiful song. I was disappointed when it wasn't on the soundtrack. But 5 years later I finally try to track it down. I'm so glad I found it. Maybe I will try some more of Salyu's music

  • This song just manages to eat away at the soul... pure ether.

  • lol, thats a diferent movie o_o

  • yeah, the movie it was created for... since the credit on the vid is given to Lily Chou Chou... not Salyu. First two seconds, look into timelines, noob.

  • The credit on the video was made by me. I mistakenly thought Lily Chou Chou was the artist but then was corrected, and therefore changed the title to Salyu, and get the definition of n00b right a well.

  • ok, not your movie, the actual movie All About Lily Chou Chou... it's a real movie production, not a song in the background of an image. It was created by Salyu for that movie, and then used again in Kill Bill. Also, noob, is not a real word so spelling can be altered. So, I win, thanks.

  • Kill Bill misses some relly great songs on the soundtrack, at that scene it was really effective also.

  • I found Salyu. Then I found Lily Chou-Chou.

    Then I found Kill Bill.

I had no idea Salyu sang this song until a couple months ago.

  • This should have been on the Kill Bill soundtrack indeed.

  • definitely afaik the song is used in an essential scene (where uma receives her sword from hanzo, right?!). but why didn't they put it on the CD?? >_>

  • this should have been on the soundtrack

  • Beautiful.

  • Awesome. I had this melody stuck in my head for MONTHS without a clue what it was. Then last night I saw Kill Bill on TV :)

    Thanks for posting!

  • oh my god i love you thank you for posting this ive been trying to find this song i heard it in kill bill also and thought the song was so pretty thank you so much

  • I first heard this from the Kill Bill movie. I bought the soundtrack to hear it, but it wasn't part of the CD. Damn.

Anyhoo, thanks so much for posting this! 'Tis a beautiful song.

  • excellent song. I'm not usually into this music but this demonstrates substantial talent

  • First, I'm going to thank you for posting this.

Second, I'm just going to make a correction (if you don't mind) to your description. The name of the artist is Salyu, not Lily Chou Chou.

Sometimes the song, along with others, is credited wrong, because it the song originally comes from the film All About Lily Chou Chou, in which Salyu provides the voice of the titular character. But Lily Chou Chou is the name of the character, not the actual singer.

    Just though I'd mention it.

  • You're right to some extent... Salyu first recieved recognition through the film Lily Chou-Chou. This is where she started off. For the purpose of the film she used the stage name Lily Chou-Chou, so technically the director of this video is correct. This song was under the stage name "Lily Chou-Chou" not Salyu. She went under the stage name "Salyu" in 2003 i think.

  • well that makes sense

  • Exactly :D
