i think they actually do work. you can see that nicole was trying to introduce the girls herself, instead of letting them speak, so kim just didnt say anything since nicole already introduced her before she could speak. jessica's mic kinda worked but i guess carmit's mic was louder. they probably want some girls to sound louder than the others. maybe it makes them sound better d: just a thought.

There's so many of them because they're a dance group (formerly a burlesque group) that sings..not the other way around. I do agree, though, that six girls is one too many to have in a music group (since that's what they're marketed as)..particularly when only two (max) sing on any given song (the red-head, Carmit, sung some too but left the group). Smaller groups, however, tend to be those in which everyone sings, which clearly isn't the case with the Pussycat Dolls.
