I made it last night and it turned out great my husband loved it and i froze half of the filling for another time. The only thing that I found was that mine came out a little thick and maybe that's because I had too many potatoes so i had to add a bit of extra stock. I also added a bay leaf and celery salt. I removed the bay leaf before I put it in the pie.
We must have the same taste in food. I made a video about how to make this too. haha We do it a little different, but yours looks really good too. Thanks now I want chicken pot pie. As always, loved it!
@jenneyben Um... that one came from a store in Germany called "WF" It was the only store that we knew of that sold kitchen items when we were living there. You might want to try Roesle which is another German brand that you might be able to find here in the states. I know for sure they also make a whisk like ours. Good luck!
@HatchedByTwoChicks YES! It's so easy! And I love that I save half for later. I have the extra frozen filling in my freezer now (since I made this last week) but I think that I might be pulling it for dinner tonight, also! :)
@kyleandjessP I love dishes that you can cook once/eat twice. My favorite part of the dish is that you can use what you want, so I don't even have to go to the store! This is pretty much stuff I have on-hand. I'm going to change it up a little bit and make two individual pot-pies, since we both ♥ the crust so much. I'll take pics and show you what they look like when they are done. PS - I do the same thing with the top of my pies. They often have hearts, turkeys, etc; depending on the season. ☺
Omg that looks so yummy!!! Im definitely gonna make this for the hubster
