Wow. I can do a lot of things in AC5, but I could never beat 8492nd with a crap plane like that. Usually, after I take out the E767, they start to ride my ass and launch their entire payload at me. This, though, is pure ace flying.

The intruder has been gone for a while but if I'm right there is actually one air to air kill by an intruder in veitnam. And it was complete luck ! The target was a mig base in north veitnam . An A6 put one of it's bomb's on the runway right behind a mig21 just as it left the ground. an escort F4 pilot called it in as a kill. so yes the A6 has at least 1 aireal victory to it's target list.

@Herbymac0811 But not using a gun (it didn't have one), or air-to-air missiles (it didn't have any.) A Tornado GR.1 got an air to air kill with a bomb in the 1st Gulf War.

@samuraikensai I'm saying the same thing. The mig left the ground and then a split second latwer the shockwave of the bpmb knocked it down. It was pure luck. I know the A6 had no gun's, or that it ever carried anything air to air it was never ment to. It's not widely known but it is true. The navy never actually loged it as a ''kill'' becouse the A6 wasnt trying to hit the mig in the first place, just damage the runway.

Nicely done. Seems like you got every single one of them. To be honest though, the AI didn't move as well as I thought they would on Ace Mode, such as those times you machine-gunned them. It's luck, I suppose, the AI moves differently each playthrough.

Now try just escaping in an A-10, I had to do that because that's the plane I used in Fortress.

The A-6E Intruder wasn't designed for dogfighting. It was used for recon, jamming radar, and destroying SAM and radar sites

its not that hard ive beaten them plenty of times in the f-18,15,22 and many more the the trick is to hug the mountains, shoot at the closest plane then dive or turn like hell cuz theres gonna be a missile comin ur way from a bandit, repeat this and eventually ull get a upper hand and wip them...oh yeah take out the awac/jammer planes first
