  • I love Andrew, he's as honest as one can be. Anderson Cooper gets totally owned! Check this out and you'll get the trouth: watch?v=a4PeLtH6RWY&feature=channel_video_title

  • Look at the ingredients in vaccines. That's all the proof you need. This is a cover up. Anderson Cooper needs to wake up.

  • Yeah, I've also had many vaccines... no problems whatsoever. You can't blame every problem on something.

  • I've had plenty of vac's. No other health problems.

  • @ApathyPersonified I read your location and discription... you're an evil person, might I guess that poison only strengthens you?

  • Search on YouTube for "vaccinated by force now autistic". I was vaccinated some 7-8 years after light accident. I received 5-6 injections, one was immune booster and also tetanus shot. Several months later, after second shot, I had a severe acute arthritis incident. No history of arthritis in family. Today, I have rheumatoid arthritis, I'm still young, and also have several tumors. The degeneration is obvious and it is slow. So, in some cases, the problems may occur much later.

  • How many times has a scientist been repressed by the majority? Evolution was stifled by the church, as was the theory that the earth revolved around the sun, not the other way around. Now look at it. It's been proven. Do none of you, for one second, think that this gentleman is correct? that the media is shutting him up because they will lose money?

  • @WarriorQueen2 - God bless you. Well stated.

  • @WarriorQueen2 - Bless you! Well stated.

  • Even those with a loose understanding of the immune system will realize that three vaccinations at once can cause serious problems.

  • Wakefield should go into hiding.

  • @DragonFly122 No he's now suing Brian Deer.

  • lol he's trying to sell his fucking book.

  • this shit is so obviously a smear campaign by big pharma

  • @bfess conspiracy theory junk without evidence

  • Anderson is one sick and twisted slave.

  • Just the fact that msm dwells on this subject is very telling ! coopers dialect stinks ....

  • I was poisoned by Gadolinium which was injected into me during an MRI. I know first hand how doctors and the medical community will deny reactions and side effects from thier treatments and make the patient out to be a liar,or a hypochondriac,or psychosomatic.Mercury in the body is like a time bomb. It's effects can happen immediately or in months or years later.Everyone metabolizes things differently based on diet and deficiancies and genetic make up.Had it not happened to me I'd be sceptical.

  • @cornray What does a gandolinium-based contrast have to do with mercury? What does it have to do with vaccines? If you had an adverse reaction to your MRI contrast, then so what exactly? We should stop vaccinating children? Do more children die as a result of vaccines, or as a result of the diseases the vaccines prevent? Is modern medicine suspect entirely because of your little anecdote describing what might have been a hypersensitivity to whichever agent you were given?

  • @BigMikeMcBastard You bastard Mike;-). Gadolinium like mercury/thimerosal is a toxic heavy metal.I'm not against vaccinations.I'm against unnecessary heavy metal compounds in them that are detrimental to human health.I would have atleast liked a warning that I was being given something that has destroyed thousands of peoples lives and has a class action lawsuit against it.People don't even have the options to spread out the vaccinations over time. The moral of the story is toxic heavy metals=bad.

  • @cornray Yes, I know, and I also know that there's some controversy around its use. If you're against them using that then next time tell them you refuse it. There are risks to every medical procedure you can think of, and you're not obligated to take those risks when you get treatment if you don't want to.

On the other hand, the risks are very remote and many people use gadolinium-containing MRI contrasting agents every day without issue, but still, it's your decision.

  • @BigMikeMcBastard There are specific genetic markers people can be tested for to tell if what they are given is biocompatable. Why not offer patients the option of a blood test if there is risk involved?I'm sure no one would turn it down and it would bring in extra revenue for the hospital.Better to see how a vial of blood reacts to something than impair someone for life. This would make both sides happy would it not? Risks need to be specified & lowered, reactions need to be addressed, not denied.

  • @cornray So you had asked to be tested for hypersensitivity to gadolinium prior to your MRI and were refused? That sounds like an issue with your physician rather than an indictment of modern medicine.

  • @BigMikeMcBastard No.I'm suggesting it be OFFERED to patients as part of any procedure.I didn't know the risks of an MRI or what Gadolinium was until after it was injected into me.I thought the risk was being exposed to the xrays, not in the dye.I immediately went into shock when it was injected and nearly died. They said the dye would be out of my system & I'd be ok.I looked up dyes on the net and found out about Gadolinium. They denied & hid that danger from me.Now I have fibro & neuro probs.

  • @cornray Really? What kind of shock were you in? What was your systolic BP?

Anyway, as I said, it sounds like you're using an anecdote about your own treatment to paint the entire health care industry a certain way. And I'm still trying to figure out how this pertains to mercury being a "time bomb" as you put it.

  • @BigMikeMcBastard Anaphylactic shock.I'm not painting the entire health care industry any certain way.No industry should police itself. That is why there are regulations and public outcries when a certain practice raises questions.Science & healing & the practice of medicine are amazing, but industry will cut corners & turn a blind eye to problems rather than fix them.I'm not going to go into the dangers of mercury,it's easy to research that.We are way behind in treating environmental illnesses.

  • @cornray Right, so you were simply hypersensitive to it. It happens. Most people aren't. It is, in this case, not the actual agent that was problematic, but your own body's particular reaction to it. EVERYthing you put in your body you can be hypersensitive to, more or less. Contraindications for any drug include hypersensitivity. Did you have yourself tested before you took acetaminophen? You could have had the same reaction.

  • @BigMikeMcBastard I was sensitive to iodine,it was gadolinium that caused the health problems I now have.It was a bad combination and there are many cases like mine. What exactly are you defending? That heavy metals are not toxic? What is your motivation? Why do many in the health industry personally avoid thimerosal for their own children,if the industry says it's safe? Did you get the H1N1 vaccine? Why is it some fault of the patient if what they are given harms them? Why are reactions dismissed?

  • @cornray I'm tired of hearing people disparaging medical professionals on the basis of some sketchy anecdote. There are lot's of really dumb people who think vaccines are bad for people and all doctors are out to get them in order to make money and I'm in danger of rolling my eyes right out of my head if I hear another person condemning medicine because something happened that they don't think was they way it "should" have been.

  • @BigMikeMcBastard I hear ya.That's an honest reply. There are good & bad doctors like any profession.I commend you standing up for them.I can tell right away when I see a doctor if they will help me or pass the buck and send me on my way w/a monster bill having done nothing but waste my time. The system is far from perfect. It goes both ways.Pharma companies putting profits before safety. If you ever had a bad outcome & were given no options for follow up treatment maybe you'd see it differently.

  • @BigMikeMcBastard One more thing. The dye wasn't needed. They found the genetic prob w/my pancreas in the xrays before the dye was given. There were no xrays after the dye because of my severe reaction. If they can see a tiny abnormality on the pancreas without the dye,why was the dye even needed.I was told the pancreas was impossible to see without the dye,but I guess it wasn't.My fillings also leeched and were galvanized by the dye.Anyway that has opened my eyes to the dangers of heavy metals.

  • Wakefield needs to be charged with Crimes Against Humanity for the illness and death his fraud has caused.

  • Dr. Wakefield - much respect for standing up against this total whitewash scam campaign against you. (no doubt funded by Big Pharma).

You will be remembered in history for telling the truth and supporting the real issues here. This world needs more like yourself. I am sick of tyranny, lies and deceit, all for the love of money, at any cost.

  • AC360 is an idot. He refused to even call this guy a doctor cause his license was taken away from him.. Brian Deer is definately a hit man from the vaccine manufactureres and AC seems to be under the impression that every word B. Deer has said is the total truth. He needs to do his research b4 taking sides and disrespecing his guest by harsh accusations. The main stream meida will never find or cover the truth cause they are fed and owned by the corporations, in this case the big Pharma.

  • It is unfortunate that Cooper wanted to score points for journalists rather than seek the truth. Wakefield's interview on CBC's "The Current" was a more intellectual, objective analysis of Wakefield's actions... not that I understand who to believe... it is possible that there was fraud, but it is also possible that some corporate money is behind these accusations.

  • This quote says a lot:

""Oh, it's just a personal decision [to vaccinate or not]," it's being dishonest. It's a personal decision in the way drunk driving is a personal decision. It has the potential to affect everyone around you."

  • Vaccines are the victims of their own success; as we eradicate more diseases through the use of vaccines, people start to see the risk of taking them greater than the risk of dying from the disease. Then we start dying again as the disease circulates again. Whatever side of the coin you want to fall on, I personally choose the one with by far the most science, weight, and truth behind it: vaccines save lives!!!

  • Just one glance at Wakefield's very poorly administered study is enough to question the content. It's a 12 person case study based mostly on previous recollections by parents. That is like staging a car crash, and coming back years later asking people what they think they saw on the car crash, then modeling the safety features of all cars based on their memory. Really not that sharp.

  • fucc anderson cooper, he has mudd on his face and all these other devils trying to kill our children. THE LINK IS TRUE!

  • It is Cooper who is exposed as a fraud in this video. Wakefield answers every charge adamantly without losing his cool. Cooper is reduced to making allegations and calling them facts. Should be no surprise, as Cooper bleeds filth.

  • The federal government already admitted the link between autism and vaccinations in the Hannah Poling case.

btw...I confirmed with my pediatrician in 2007 that his flu vaccination contained Thimerasol. NEWS FLASH!! THE GOVERNMENT LIES TO IT'S PEOPLE FOR THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR!!

Anderson Cooper tried like hell to fluster Wakefield but clearly Wakefields superior mind along with the facts showed Cooper to be nothing more than a turd. yahahhaha

  • @agrov8tr That isn't true.

  • Vaccines and Immunization References and Research Citations Vaccines Have Been Linked to Leukemias and Lymphomas:

Bichel, “Post-vaccinial Lymphadenitis Developing into Hodgkin’s Disease”, Acta Med Scand, 1976, Vol 199, p523-525.

  • @redtroika That is not autism.

  • @Tenom1 The posting censored my links. Vaccines are linked to many disease conditions, so why focus on autism? Why try and discredit Wakefield's observations and research and whom is willing to scarifice his license to inform the public? You can acces a PDF report by the International Medical Council on Vaccination signed by 83 doctors that have documented links to diseases including autism with vaccines.

  • @Tenom1 I will try and post a link to the PDF file. Sorry, this site censors my link. You can try googling Natural News for lots of info.

  • @redtroika Yes, vaccines can cause complications like lymphadenitis (inflammation of the lymph nodes) in _immunocompromised_ patients. That's why it's important to diagnose immune deficiencies before vaccination, since (as I understand it; IANAD) those children should usually not be vaccinated. But those same children are relying on all of us to get our vaccinations and keep these diseases out of circulation.

  • @Yaktron What??? Your last statement is not scientific as it assumes vaccines cure disease. Ask for a written document. Children do not rely on all of US to get vaccinated. They rely on us not to poison them with unscientific medicine and dangerous componds. Their is no proof that vaccines are efficacious. In fact their is more evidence that it creates more problems than it solves including compromised immunity. That's the nature of mercury, aluminum and adjuncts. That is the real story.

  • @redtroika My statement didn't assume anything. Youtube comments aren't exactly a good venue for detailed proof. Besides, even if I did link you to scientific papers showing the efficacy of vaccines, would you be convinced? Of course not; you'd just blow them off as propaganda paid for by BIG PHARMA (insert musical sting here).

Your entire position revolves around the assumption that 99% of people in the medical industry would sooner poison children than cut into their bottom line.

  • @Yaktron Don't take it personally and no need to get theatrical! Scientific debate is better. You made assumptions and continue again. I stated facts and links you did not. Prove your statements with documentation/links if you can. Science can prove that mercury is extremely toxic, aluminum toxic, especially if combined with solvents that make it possible to penetrate the BBB. Check out the PDF file and other info if you can. I hope this helps you in your quest for scientific answers. Good luck!

  • How would lying benefit Dr. Wakefield? This is bull.

  • @Youngmoon08 Did you listen to the interview? He is a professional researcher who is paid to testify for lawyers who litigate against vaccine manufacturers. His conflict of interest is documented.

  • @larrywake so essentially everyone who does a clinical trial for a pharmaceutical has a vested interest? is this what you are saying? God, I get so tired of this naive, inane argument. People are such suckers sometimes.

  • @larrywake What flavour Kool-Aid did you drink?

  • @larrywake If I understand you correctly, you are trying to assert that Dr. Wakefield faked research after being asked to be an expert witness? He faked this for a fee?

  • Anderson Copper is the FUCKING lie.

  • Sanya cupto is well know corporate shill

  • Sanji Gupta went to bilderberg or CFR meeting, the guy's sold out to the globalists who want to kill people. Hey let me inject your child with mercury and cancer viruses yummm delicious... Bill Gates loves children and wants to enroll them all in global vaccination ploys, oh hey he talked about using vaccines to reduce global population at TED.

Before people dismiss this please just actually think for your self sheeple and read the vaccine insert of possible side effects and ingredients.

  • @gypsyo86 So you are saying the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation plan to make males and/or females infertile through vaccines?

  • Wakefield OWNS Cooper.... He answers every question and refutes every allegation. He provides all the information asked of him within a 15 minute interview in which he is violently attacked by CNN. He even offers complete information in his book and even offers to give it away. He completely refutes Anderson and Gupta. Anyone who thinks he is being owned here is blind.

  • @Sinfoniahorn Calling the investigative journalist a liar without having read the article, claiming that the interviewer had to read his book and shouting 'that's not true!' and claiming that 'they' are out to get you isn't answering anything and it's certainly not winning any arguments.

  • @RachelSoma Rachel, dont be naive. Rewatch the entire interview and listen to what Wakefield says. Anderson comes out swinging and attacking. Wakefield doesnt "shout," as you put it, once in the entire interview. So he wrote a book that details and refutes all the allegations. You have a problem with that? How would you rather he get his message across? Hes not allowed to write a book? Hes not allowed to say people are out to get him? He gives clear answers to every question. Rewatch.

  • @Sinfoniahorn How can he refute the contents of the Deer article, he clearly states he hasn't read it. Is his original paper so indefensible that he had to write an entire book to try and cover his tail? Wakefield is a fraud, a liar and his actions have caused the deaths of many, many infants of preventable disease (look up whooping cough statistics in California).

Don't be so wilfully ignorant or you could be one of the grieving parents who lost their child to measles or whooping cough

  • @RachelSoma Rachel, he states clearly that he has been dealing with Deer for several years, but because of litigation he hasnt been able to speak until recently, so he is well aware of what Deer has said. The book details Deer's analysis. If you paid attention, you will know that Wakefield says in this interview that he is NOT against vaccines. He prescribed that parents be given the option to have single dose vaccines, and then the British government 6 months later took that option away....

  • @RachelSoma Be clear, Wakefield is not anti vaccines. His book is a vehicle for him to clearly elucidate why he is being attacked, and it is his chance to clearly refute those accusations. Again, in this interview he is beside himself. He is constantly correcting Anderson and disputing what he alleges. This has smear written all over it.

  • @RachelSoma And Wakefield addresses the increase in measles. He never told people to not take vaccines. He only said that people should have the option to have single doses, which again was taken away as an option after he made the recommendation.

  • @Sinfoniahorn Yes, there is blindness in this story.

  • They make billions, not millions. They made 3 billion alone on Humira in 2010. . This is just embarrassing. If he was a liar, it's doubtful he would come on a national program and try to defend himself. the cdc schedule of 24 vaccines in 18 months is wow, what can you say? Vaccines haven't been tested long term. They are a good idea in theory but wow....just sad really. I feel for people with kids. They are in a tough spot.

  • They make billions, not millions. They made 3 billion alone on Humira in 2010. I have zero respect for Anderson Cooper now.

  • it's funny how ignorant people without knowing anything on the topic at hand(autism)dismiss wakefield's research.Big pharma make billions a year off vaccines so why would they want someone to get in the way of all that. There is always 2 sides to every story and the media only gives you one. He's not even saying that vaccines are bad, he simply saying research first.Big pharma are the true criminals.Did u know if your healthy child gets vaccinated no one is held accountable. What a shame.

  • @raissaborci they dont make billions a year from vaccines. they make millions. and what are they supposed to do? give all the vaccines out for free? then how would they stay in business. they are a business just like everything else in america. they have to charge for vaccines in order to pay the people who make the vaccines, to pay the people who study the vaccines, and to pay the people who work for them. and how are they one sided? they let him speak. he just sounds like an idiot.

  • I think he held his own very well. I would have wanted to throttle someone. Good on you, Andrew. CNN is "neutral?" What a joke. Anderson is a tool just like all the others. They say dance, he dances.

  • Brain Dee countered, "If it is true that Wakefield is not guilty as charged, he has the remedy of bringing libel action against myself, the Sunday Times of London, the BMJ and he would be the richest man in America."

It does seem like a more profitable way to get cash than writing a book.

  • @mongobobo He did try and bring libel action against Dee, The Sunday Times and Channel 4. He withdrew his claim and someone (maybe Wakefield) had to pay the legal fees. Does anyone here know who paid the legal fees?

  • @prpickering Apparently Wakefield filed suit, but didn't want to go to trial, for you see one needs to prove his case in court and Wakefiled can't do that. However, if one can file suit and than post-pone proceedings it may look like one is possibly innocent with out proving anything. That is why the court made him either proceed or withdraw and be responsible for all fees.

  • @cate284 And you're more interested in anecdote then in actual data.

  • @cate284 The 'research' from those websites is fascinating? You basically just admitted to enjoying 'research' from heavily biased sources. Why don't you read actual research from separate university sources? Clearly, you can't be argued with since you don't even bother with real sources of science.

  • Anderson Cooper is so disgusted with him he can't even look at him at the end of the interview. Wow.

  • Personally, I find the scientific research found at the National Vaccine Information Center and the Vaccine Risk Awareness Network fascinating. I also like to read the personal stories of parents who have had a child who suffered an adverse reaction after given a vaccine. I think the evidence is slowly mounting the other way and it's only a matter of time until Wakefield and his colleagues are exonerated.

  • @cate284 yeah and anyone with an education in science would say that parents accounts are not scientific.

  • @threadysparrow...gee, ya think? you missed the point entirely.

  • Gilgamesh, Wakefield was already a trained pro in his field with a background that outmatches your own and there are many many certified doctors and specialists and trained pros who support him including the Chief Medical Officer of Britain. I ignored you for the most part because I see how you operate and I understand your viewpoint all too well. It wouldn't matter how many scientific studies or journals were given to you, you would find a way to discredit it if it didn't match your smug view.

  • very disappointed that cooper wouldn't let wakefield answer. Just interupt, and give him no time to explain. Congrats to wakefield for taking an interview anyways. I would like to see them sit for an hour face to face. Then see who looks stupid. I am for wakefield.

  • Wakefield is the victim of maniac billionaire pill pushers. A.Cooper is an idiot.

He hasn't even read the book before the interview! !

That is NOT journalism, it is what you call being in bed w/ the pill-pushers (vaccine pushers, same thing). I applaud Wakefield for sticking to his guns & telling the truth! Bravo!!!!!!!!!

  • @ophuichus2012 Yeah! Anderson Cooper is paid by big pharma! Anderson Cooper is also responsible for the recession, the 9/11 attacks and the Challenger disaster!

  • @fkerpants yeah. he is responsible for all that. and AIDS too. he was also the man on the grassy knoll

  • @ophuichus2012 except that he clearly isn't telling the truth. The Lancet has only ever retracted one article in the their history and it was his.

  • Wakefield is only making himself look crazy and paranoid! I would have more respect for him if he would just admit he lied!

  • @norcalgirl83 Looks perfectly sane to me. He is just exasperated by people constantly fabricating stuff about him; as anyone would be.

  • @jvaish Exactly norcalgirl. Wakefield is beside himself. He even corrects both of these idiots several times in the interview about details of the study, and they just go on to the next question. But oh yes, Mr. Deer is an "award winning" journalist whose work has been repeated and regurgitated by others.

People should watch the 10 part interview Dr. Mercola has with Dr. Wakefield. It is quite telling.

  • 5 different other countries? All you biased people who prefer to believe medical and scientific research revolves around the ivory towered corporateshill scum in the U.S.A. and the U.K. and others in this nefarious alliance, while children are dying deserve to go eat some kind of bizaar man made poison hat you proudly proclaimi is the most delicious remedy, and die a horrible death.

  • @madmanmantra First off, five countries? He failed to mention how many studies from "five countries". It could have been one study that encompassed the countries or five separate studies or 500 studies. If it was 500 studies, the scientific community would pay attention but it isn't 500 studies. Additionally, the number of studies or location are useless if they are poorly conducted studies. Talk about buying into a man's talk blindly without applying some critical thinking.

  • @madmanmantra Officially is an authoritarian buzzword? The fact that you are blindly hanging on to this man's words despite his widely demonstrated lack of credibility is more authoritarian than me citing studies that have been peer reviewed. Science is probably the most democratic field around as ALL science is always subject to scrutiny from your peers and you must demonstrate the worthiness of your work. Wakefield has not demonstrated any worth.

  • @madmanmantra Also, side effects of drugs are always worse than the disease themselves? I presume then that if you get HIV or cancer or ebola virus or small pox or polio that you'd rather suffer death (HIV), death (cancer), scarring or death (smallpox) and paralysis or death (polio) than seek treatment?

  • @Gilgamesh417 If the treatment meant following any of your advice. Hell yeah.

  • @madmanmantra I haven't advised you to do anything. You should follow the advice of a physician who understands your history, understands the science, rationally approaches medicine, and is honest and open. Most physicians fit this profile. Any decent physician would NEVER recommend not vaccinating your child. Additionally, I'm applying to medical school and have an extensive background in biology. What's your background that renders you more capable of making judgements than a trained pro?

  • @Gilgamesh417 You're going to be cult hazed and put under tremendous pressure to lose your soul. I wish you luck anyways. I don't believe that all vaccines are bad, but there is an expedient agenda to add poisonous ingredients. They've been doing this for a very long time because there's a lot of money involved. Resistance to disease is mostly a factor of proper, diet, nutrition, and exercise not something synthetic drug manufacturers invent to make money.

  • @Gilgamesh417 Just because someone receives training doesn't mean they are ethical. Anyone with a degree of intelligence can memorize facts. I would suggest you do some hard research on the history of modern medicine. If you really are naive enough to think the pharmaceutical companies won't go to outrageous links to protect their investment, I feel sorry for you. Memorization of facts does not a good healer make.

  • All Hurrah for Anderson Cooper! One of the best reporters and interviewers in the business and the best asset CNN has. Also, Wakefield sounds more and more crazy during the interview. Now I have to wonder, does Wakefield really believe his own garbage or does have to just keep this up to keep getting paid for spouting his garbage.

  • @Gilgamesh417 Wakefield sounds like a man with a heart and conscience, unlike detracting asshole like yo.

  • @madmanmantra A man with a heart and conscience who still attempts to defend a paper that is now officially acknowledged as fraudulent? Who's paper started the spread of the anti-vaccine movement which is directly and indirectly responsible for a rise in the case of measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis and other childhood diseases and has caused the death of children? Can this man face those parents and tell them of an imaginary link that he was PAID to prove?

  • @Gilgamesh417 I can tell right now where your coming from when you use authoritarian buzz words like "official". Adverse side effects to the "official" remedies are consistently far worse than the diseases and ailments.

  • The Insider...watch the movie...I believe Dr. Wakefield.

  • There has been no other research to support Wakefield's 1998 study. I am not surprised to hear now that his work was fabricated. Wakefield should be held accountable for his part in the deaths associated with children not being vaccinated. Unfortunately the responsibility lies with the parents who refused the vaccinations for their children. The selfish actions by these parents not only endangered their own children but society as a whole. Why? Because of some hack.

  • @allman2011 I'm sitting here looking at his website and the other research from these other 5 countries seem to be pretty reputable accredited and internationally repsectable saints rather then the little Dr. Mengeles AC cooper and this Brian Deer asshole shill for on a regular fucking basis.

  • @allman2011 There is plenty of other research support Wakefield's claims. He just listed a whole bunch of them. They're all linked on his website.

  • Wakefield should just send the media free copies of that book instead of running the risk of appearing to promote a book. Holding the book up to the camera looks bad. Why would Wakefield claim the vaccine caused autism if it didn't? What would he gain from reporting that? This is a matter of 'he said, they said' and its a worrisome situation. Cooper needs to find the parent whose kids were involved in the study and interview them about this.

  • @ReeseMac Cooper doesn't need to. Brian Deer did and the parents did say that what the results reported in Wakefield's paper were not true.

  • @ReeseMac I have to agree with your first sentence. He should send the media free copies, but I kind of don't blame him since he probably needs the income from book sales. However, free copies are not that difficult to obtain if anyone is so inclined.

  • @madmanmantra True. He might need the money but Cooper undermined him there. It made Wakefield look like he's about selling the book instead of dealing with the extremely serious allegations head on. A host is told in advance that something is going to be pushed by a guest. It appeared Wakefield surprised him with that. If the public is swayed to believe that the allegations are true then NOBODY will buy that book no matter how much he holds it up to a camera.

  • @ReeseMac

"Why would Wakefield claim the vaccine caused autism if it didn't? What would he gain from reporting that?"

You weren't paying attention. He was paid by attorneys representing claimants. Also, some people will lie or cheat to become fabulous celebrities. Apparently he conducted spinal taps and other invasive procedures on small children unnecessarily. The man is essentially a psychopath.

  • @mongobobo ...but did you pay attention to Wakefield's claims that he recieved no money personally and that the money instead went to the medical school to conduct the research?....its a matter of proving whats true and whats fabricated. He might've had a financial stake in all this mess. Maybe not. I can't confidently say for sure that he is guilty or innocent until concrete evidence is presented that proves him to be one or the other. Right now its a case of "he said , they said".

  • @ReeseMac Even if he paid it to the school, that could just be a laundering front, and so, he would still be profiting from it. Even if not, this still leads to a bias, if the money is to you, or something that you have a vested interest in; That is a gain and it's a conflict of interest, which brings serious doubt to the validity of Wakefield's claim. To simply try and pass this off as, "my word against yours", is intellectually dishonest, clearly there is a motivation for bias.

  • @DoomsdayR3sistance Maybe it is a laundering front. They have to prove that it is. And vice versa. He claims that his co-authors retracted their interpretation of the research in '04 because of pressure put upon them to do so. How would he know they recieved pressure and how can he prove that? BOTH parties have to back their words....take it to court and present the facts. If he's found guilty in a court of law then good.

  • @ReeseMac if you are talking law fronts then Wakefield has already tried to sue and failed multiple times, maybe you should also look at the fact that one of the children Wakefield experimented on for his "paper" successfully sued him because the kid almost died from the experiments and they have for a long time been considered unethical.

The work going in now is the work that will hopefully go into a criminal prosecution of Wakefield.

  • with that aside, if either Wakefield or the school received any money in relation to finding a link between MMR and Autism, that's an automatic conflict of interests, it doesn't matter if it went to him or the school, it's financial incentive and it's a conflict of interest. Wakefield if he was being honest would have declared that from the start, he never did and now it's been found out he tries to side step the issue but he never denies money was exchanged, that's a conflict of interest.

  • @DoomsdayR3sistance ..Good. Lets see where it goes.
