I used to play on the EU servers, I have NO idea what server it was. I Roleplayed most of the time but managed to get a Dark Elf Shadowknight up to level 62 before I finally gave up the horrible grind fest that it was some 5 years ago or something to get to level 70.

Someone tell me, has this game become less grind demanding? Cause way back when I was completely unable to level past 60 efficiently without help, maybe I was just a noob, I dunno, but can someone PM me some info on the game?

Depends, I always liked EQ2 way more than WOW, both aesthetically and mechanically (gameplay). I much prefer EQ2 pvp system than Wows, though thats not saying alot considering both games are focused more on PVE, with PVP as an add on to please that market segment.

As for raiding.-.. couldn't tell you, iv never been into raids, it isnt my thing...

@theflea39 yeah there is now. they took away the best of it... ranks. now if you log off you loose it. it sucks. use to be anyman for them selves. now reds cant get ganked by greys. they took away a hotspot. DLW by making it a city. its kinda ruined :(4 this video shows some of the fun

This was taken back in the days of level locking and t2 pvp. Soe of course killed level locking because too many care bears whined that it wasn't fair to start on a PVP server and fight master crafted and adept'3 out twinks.

So instead of adapting and working for it like real players the bears then cry on forums until soe nerfs the games only populated pvp server. Pretty typical for the generation of WOW mmo ers raised on instanced bgs and "fair fights"

I returned breifly for a welcome back event when sentinals fate came out but the pvp server was up in arms because they broke the entire pvp system when they implemented battlegrounds and changed the resist and critical mitigation stuff. It was so bad I just quit never came back. The devs were "working on it", and alot of the people i knew ingame were quitting. Did they ever turn the failboat around?

thanks ill consider it. Iv been dabbling in some random mmos like aion and mortal but not really attached to anything yet. I felt that when SOE catered to the carebear bluebie whiners they completely destroyed most of the game. It seems nagafan went down hill when they killed level locking.

During Kingdom of Sky and the Echos of Faydwer expansion IMO was the best time in the game, as far as pvp mechanics and server pop on nagafan imo.

@featherspell The zombie attack pet was the former version of tainted sacrament line of spells. The pet was more like a minor dot and was pretty useless. Sacrament now is a pb-aoe disease nuke with a large threat increase. They replaced the skelly pet some time ago.

As for noobs that can't play, if you don't know how to play an SK you will SUCK, you WILL kill your group, and you will not be asked back. Playing an SK in groups, or raids, requires real skill. Being able to own any other class at pvp is just a plus. If you think playing an SK is simple, I challenge you to raid/mt with one. Otherwise, you have no idea and STHU. Ty :)

Green.....if you get your butt kicked playing an SK you aren't playing him very well. They are easy as pie to solo with. They can wear plate armor, they can heal themselves, and deal decent dmg, and can AE. Oh yeah, I forgot death touch, and they can cast Death March, which basically puts everyone's cast bar on crack, makes the group immune to stun, root, and fear. I honestly don't know why you think they suck. I've also been told that I'm a decent MT.

alright im am a fan of pvp if u wanna pvp there are 3 servers naggy (nafagen) vox (dead) and vekeor never tryed max lvl is 80 end game is great. if u are on pvp anyway if on a pvp server it takes a while to lvl but on a normal server u can be 80 in 4 weeks if u play 24/7 in a core grp.
