@foxman0720 Only the males get the rings on their necks. It can take up to three years for them to form so be patient. My Alexandrine was about the same age as yours when we got her and she was just the same. What helped was getting her wings clipped. Some people think it's cruel to take away their ability to fly but it is much safer for your bird (Ducky had a bad habit of hitting walls) and it also helps build trust. Ducky was letting us pet her the day we got her clipped. Good luck!

I've got an alexandrine 2 weeks ago not tamed 14weeks old! It's getting use to me only around his cage, trying to get his trust at the moment.
How long till he gets the ring around his necks? I can see the ring growing around it but not so much.
Btw.. How y alexandrine shit itsef when i put it on the floor! It doesnt want to do anything but jump back to its cage... HELP!
