yo man, i grew up in michigan too, the U.P., so i know what you mean about crap hills, but anyways, a few tips. 1st, snowboard snowboard snowboard, the sponsors will come as riding improves, set small goals each day, 2nd get to know local reps & skateshop owners etc, who are involved in the snowboard industry - it's all about who you know, but don't forget your true friends. 3rd, save your cash and move to a good mountain, and don't forget to stay educated along the way. @rockguitar1200 I'm atleast 5 hours drive from the nearest mountain, and it costs us 30$ to get on the mountain, and a further 100$ a day just for lift passes... Australia is a very hard place to go pro... :( But not matter how much it costs me, I am so glad I discovered this sport!

u should b a comedian i was tlkn to this kid on a lift one time and he rollerbladed and he was telling me this bs about how he doesnt do jumps at the local hill anymor cuz he cleared the whole flat and broke his ankle then i followed him and he sucked balls

If snowboarding is what you love and you want to become a pro all you got to just push you self every time you ride. As for canada goes just when you get out of school go move to canada and work as a lift operator.
